The problem with fma brotherhood is that it assumes you watched the original fma first. Brotherhood completely skips Yoki's arc so you have no idea the the brothers removed him from power for corruption. Its another example of the Elrics' attempting to do something good completely backfiring and its completely skipped.

yeah yoki's episode got cut when they trimmed down the parts that where already animated for the 2003 series, the episode is basically the same as the liore episode just about a landlord and in a mining town rather than about a priest in a desert city.

Ed did do all of that but the context isn't there. Ed basically stole from a thief and gave the mine back to its rightful owners. Yoki more than deserved it. They glossed over it in FMAB but Yoki was a piece of shit one step away from being a slaver.
