Philip is a politician through and through. He'll readily swap his daughter for political gain. Basically, he's scum. Worse than Paul IMO. So yeah - that was the "terrible sus" scene. Rudy tries it on with Eris (with consent), Eris changes her mind and ends it and Rudeus realizes that he almost hurt Eris - someone he really cares about. Anyone who thinks this scene is bad really doesn't get the story at all. That ending though - it gets everyone like that. A big WTF moment. Like real life, things go along on an even keel right up until something unexpectedly life changing occurs.

Rudy is unusually talented in magic but not particularly strong combat wise, he has no experience and limited understanding of important concepts. At age 10 that's not that bad. Sylphy's parents are half-elf and human you briefly see them in an earlier episode.

I have to hard disagree with that. Rudy is already a monster in combat at this stage. He has yet to actually use his magic against someone seriously. He's never used his magic against Eris when they spar. Also, the anime doesn't show Paul's thoughts after he surprise attacked Rudy, but Paul almost lost to Rudy and if he had been a little further away from him and didn't surprise him, Rudy would have beaten Paul. He nearly beat an S ranked adventurer who is of the level of a sword saint when he was 7 years old and he's also not trying to seriously hurt or kill Paul, just stop him. I would argue of the people we have seen fight so far in the show Rudy would beat all of them bar Almanfi and Ghislaine.

Again with the sculptures, iirc he makes them using earth magic and it is a good way to increase his mana capacity instead of summoning water over and over again (and it can make some money too).

One of the best thing about Mushoku Tensei is that they always end on a cliff hanger that makes you want more. This is only my second time watching it but after reading the Novel, I'm so glad they did such a great adaption of it. The new season has 24 episodes but there will be a 4 month break in between after the first 12 episodes. As foranime that are big, sus and interesting. I'll recommend the same as i did previous episode Highschool of the dead My Dress-Up Darling Food wars I see some people recommending kill la kill too so that is also good

The best anime that I would say is a patreon exclusive due to adult content is Devil Man Crybaby. Only 10 episodes, but a very good series.

If you are looking for something popular and sus then Monogatari would have you covered. Just a disclaimer tho. It's pretty abstract and you really have to put 100% of your focus into the show as its VERY dialogue heavy. Also after each episode you probably would want to read some comments explaining some puns and stuff as it's heavily based on Japanese culture and it's easy to miss some stuff.

Rudy was literally having to save and then protect Eris whilst fighting 2 vs 1. If he didn't have to worry about Eris he wouldn't have needed to get close to them and then retreat into the air, which is what led to him almost dying. Instead he would have beaten them from a distance. Most experienced fighters would have died or gotten Eris killed trying to save her if they were in that situation. Also, the fight with Paul and the kidnappers was 3 years ago at this point. That "small sparring" that he does is 3 years of daily training with a Sword King (who is an excellent teacher) and a skilled sparring partner. Ghislaine is the only Sword King and there are only 3 people in the world ranked above her in the sword god style which is considered the strongest of the 3 styles. Also, it's made very clear in the LN that Paul was taking that fight very seriously once Rudy actually fought back with magic. Paul even says "D-damn, that was close..." and he says that Rudy is "downright terrifying" and that he "has a knack for battle". Rudy definitely gets a lot stronger in the next arc, but a lot of reactors get a very skewed view of the power scale in Mushoku Tensei and think that people on the level of Ghislaine, Paul and Eris are normal in this world. Decently skilled swordfighters and even some A+ ranked adventurers are only intermediate in a sword style.

Well, you will see this kind of scenes from time to time, these which make you uncomfortable. It's part of Rudeus character after all. I don't enjoy watching Rudy's degeneracy however. I can understand it makes sense and create more realistic and deeper character. It's absolutely believable that Rudy takes advantage of the situation where he is reincarnated and everyone think he is kid. Also let's remember it's not like real world and some things that might be really weird for us just makes sense in this fantasy world. I honestly think this anime isn't like typical isekai. It can be pretty inspirational, watching our mc's whole journey trying to become better person trying to live his life to the fullest bcs of what he experienced in his last life. I generally wanted to said that in longer perspective you will look at some events in diffirent way. I hope you will enjoy the series just like me :)

as far is i know there are 5 (i think) "Turning Points" in Muhsoku Tensei, incredibly major events that effect a lot of the cast, Rudeus himself, or a larger population. This was Turning Point 1, and Turning point 2 is one of the last episodes of season 1.

Have we seen Rudy make figurines? Yes, we did in an earlier episode he was slowly forming one with his magic. FYI. This show has a lot of “show — don’t tell” mentality. As an audience we got to pay attention. A lot of things shown but never said for all to draw our own conclusions. Remember that there is also an episode 17.5 for this season, that came out after episode 24. You can either watch it chronologically after 17 or after the season. There is also an episode 0 in season 2. Both are good, but episode 0 is probably more important.

I think Eris and Rudy are at closest 3rd cousins. Far enough from direct blood to not be illegal anywhere or cause biological issues. It's a little fuzzy and could be further than that because of the whole "family branch" phrasing they use to describe the relationship. It certainly wouldn't be shunned in a medieval sort of setting where this world takes place because of the way nobles want to marry nobles for power play reasons.

Some good 90's anime are InuYasha, Slayers, and Yu Yu Hakusho. An awesome and popular anime is Hunter X Hunter. Some people find the first two big arcs boring, but I enjoyed them. I'd also say the series last ended at a fairly satisfying point... but know the series is nicknamed Hiatus X Hiatus. it's also got a VERY "sus" character as you put it, but the anime itself is probably safe for youtube and twitch (people pls correct me if I'm wrong lol) Also, I see people have already explained their family relations. Sometimes in anime you'll hear it simplified to cousins (like in Fruit's Basket), when they're actually more distantly related than that.

My point is that I am annoyed that in a TON of anime there is sexual assault/pedo shit sprinkled in everywhere which only serves to creep people out and make the show objectively worse. I don't get why spying on girls, groping girls, assaulting girls, or anything else of that sort has to be shoveled into anime. It is just fucking weird. As far as Rudeus' power level here, he's a Water Saint. Water magic at a Saint level. The really big spell we saw like in episode 2 with the rainstorm and thunder, I think it's like the equivalent of summoning a typhoon or a small hurricane. Like a beginner water ball was nothing, an intermediate water ball destroyed an entire wall in his house, and then go up two more levels in power for Saint.

If you think people are giving you pushback for disliking Rudy, you are severely missing the point. I've heard very few people who think Rudy isn't a complete scumbag and no one who thinks he's 100% in the right. But most of us can have a reasonable discussion about the show without calling everyone a pedo and having a vocabulary that consist of swear words every 2 seconds. Luke said he didn't want people fighting in the comments so I'm not going to argue with you. You can certainly complain about some of Rudy's behaviors and I agree that Luke has a good approach and respect him not wanting to show anything on streams that include child characters in those types of situations. If you're going to stick around though then respect his wishes, tone it down and try to be more civil towards people.

Rudeus is level 4 out of 7 (it's call saint) in water magic and probably lower in other magic disciplines. I've also heard he is at intermediate level in one of the three sword style, but I'm not sure if it is right now or later in the season. That's an idea of what means different magic levels, and there is also 7 levels with the same name for sword styles. 1 Beginner / Elementary Basic mana manipulation. 2 Intermediate Advanced mana manipulation. 3 Advanced Complex mana manipulation. Generally large area of effect. 4 Saintly / Holy Large scale complex mana manipulation. Usually spells that affects the weather. 5 Kingly Builds upon Saint-class Magic by increasing its effectiveness. 6 Imperial / Emperor Further enhances the scale of King-class Magic 7 Divine / God Continental scale magic.

I think the Rudy/Eris scene, while bad and wrong, not as bad as the barn scene in ep 6. In that episode continued sleep somehow equaled consent to Rudy. Not the case, ever. It's kind of unforgivable. The scene in this episode he prefaces what he might do to try and scare Eris away, since he can tell she was put up to it. Eris then gives what Rudy thinks is actual consent. She can't give it, but he thinks he actually got permission and then goes for it. He gets punished for that decision and at least learned he was an idiot to think that her "a little bit" was consent. I'd say more forgivable than the previous encounter with Eris in the barn, but still awful.

I don't see any comments specifically about his new staff or about the meaning the this episodes title so I hope do you get to see this even though it is late. First I'm gonna cover the simple one. There are a few moment in the show where turning point will be used. When this title is used the entire show takes a complete and drastic change in plot, and story telling. Many characters will change leading to a new character dynamic in the show. Expected the show to change in a cool way. The second thing is his staff. I don't remember the materials the staff is made of but it is absolutely priceless. It's a staff that is very unbalanced but that means it's excellent for Rudy as someone who isn't good at magic like healing and focuses on attack magic with his primary being in water. The staff aqua heartia is a staff that converts water magic into a ratio of 1-5 which means spells that would have used 1 mana now has a output of 5 mana so he can use a fraction of the mana on water spells but in turn he now has limitless potential in water magic as if he learned how to cast emperor water magic he could do so at power levels that would put any other emperor level mage to shame while using half or less the mana it is especially impossible for him to run out of mana if fighting with water magic. And with his ability to combine magic he can use much less mana on the water while putting the mana that would have been used on another element. TLDR. The staff multiplies mana input by 5 times and turning point episodes result in new plot in the show.

I wouldn't say he does any of that. He makes a big mistake with Sylphie, but one that any kid could have done. It wasn't even motivated by his old self. In this episode he at first imagine himself doing something to Eris, then snaps out of it and becomes much more nervous in his mannerisms. Then when he tries to go too far he gets severely punished for it. He realizes how wrong he was in what he was doing and instantly apologizes for his behavior when she comes back. She then tells him to be chill until he's a legal adult in their world.

Regarding Rudy making figures. You might have missed the fact that the figure the prince had that was suspiciously accurate to Roxy was a figure Rudy made and sold that later ended up in the hands of that prince.

A crucial dynamic they maintain for a long time is that Eris is eminently capable of beating Rudeus to a pulp, so anytime he tries something out of line she does just that. Basically rage censoring what he would have done otherwise.
