In he manga, they made it clearer, that he stopped his sword... but she did take it without him noticing. I guess it was more of a test, that he assumed she'd fail.

Something else I love about this series: the line "exceptional sword skills does not mean exceptional skills in battle" There's all kinds of people who are good at kata or mitt drills or the *practice* aspect of martial arts who aren't great at the *practical* aspect of them--sparring and fighting--so seeing a character like Sagiri eventually make that switch is nice

Luke's face at that cliffhanger is priceless, w Sagiri's and Gabimaru's relationship is quite peculiar and grows so much. It's so good. Btw, I love the Hell's Paradise reactions and looking forward to see the rest! Unfortunately, currently it doesn't cover the whole story till the end, but worth watching anyway.

Rudeus is pretty powerful for his age (thanks to him starting to learn magic from a very young age), but all magicians would struggle in one on one combat against a swordsman. Paul mentioned this on Rudy's 5th birthday when he gave him the sword.

As for finishing what you started, with anime it's usually not worth it to watch more than three episodes if the execution is subpar. There are around 100 new shows coming up every three months so there is always something to choose from. Plus you can always fall back on older shows (D.Gray-man, Claymore) because the existing backlog is in thousands.

I just came up with a good idea luke.(maybe if a mod read this suggest this to him would be gr8 since it's kinda important). either discord post or yt community post or even twitch chat discussion during the tournament picks will work (since +900 ppl). Subject: Question for those who finished + enjoyed hell's paradise But don't watch reaction: Why?". It's a simple question but I think it will give the best answers. Why certain animes get more views but are less popular (eminence in shadow), but based on "Stats", more people watched and enjoyed Hell's paradise (myanimelist). So people will tell you why they watched hell's paradise but they don't watch your reaction. No more "invent random reason". Ask the people. "Hey random subscribe, you watched hell's paradise? yes, you watch my react? no. Why?". The answer will be about the show and not about you. They will tell you why they don't want to watch it 2nd time with you. They will give the magic answer to why the rewatchability is low. PS: this is just a guess but I think the REAL REASON is because the anime finished recently, and people don't want to watch something they just finished like a few months ago. conclusion? We cannot pretend to give reasons why low views, we have to ask the people who enjoyed the show but don't want to watch it 2nd time If you are a viewer that is scrolling randomly and finished hell's paradise, but don't watch these reactions, but somehow u ended up reading my comment(Absurdity ik), tell me why 1st time was a "yes" but 2nd time is a "no". What makes this show a bad watch the 2nd time. Give a reply.

I would respectfully disagree. The concept of the show is interesting, but what puts me off from watching this show right away when the episodes are released is because of how easily each character can just suddenly die. It doesn't let me warm up to any of the characters. It's the beginning of the show and the "culling" is happening, but the quick switch between random characters who just die is a bit off putting. It's like why should I care about this character when he dies so quickly. This is just some side story to the main questline. Another thing that personally annoys me a bit is the characters feel too stiff. It feels like the author wrote an archetype for each character and is revolving strictly on that point as their basis. It makes it feel like the characters are less adaptable and have very little room for personal growth. However, I'll keep watching to see where this show goes. I guess my biggest gripe is that I'm just not emotionally invested in any of the characters.

Hmm. I got bored and gave up half way through this episode. It's mostly talk talk talk and little showing. Not a good way to tell a story IMO. Oh well, can't win 'em all I guess.

His point wasn't about you not being allowed to drop anime and say you dont like it. You just can't say that the anime is bad, since you didn't watch it till the end. Like you could stop One Piece before Arlong Park and say it is shit, but is it really? You dropping anime just means you didn't think it was going to be for you / starting episodes were bad. Partial review vs Full review basically and as react channel he likes to give full opinions to be true to himself and others (if someone asks him if they should watch the anime)
