Misa being your first waifu, so cute. You'll likely find others or the one as you watch more anime. The term waifu originates from the Japanese pronunciation of Wife. There's also "Husbando" for Husband but that's more of a slang term used by fans.

to join the exam rant...It was for that reason I took a BTEC and then my degree at uni also didn't have any exams, it was fully coursework (game design). It was so much better, just doing the work, not trying to remember everything, but putting in effort into it all. I hope in the future it can be more like this for all subjects

In regards to your exam "rant", I think that we are moving in a direction of exams not being like they used to be. Can't talk about everywhere around the world, but I have studied in two universities in two different continents and had a similar experience in both. We either get to use all the notes, book and sometimes even the internet while doing the exam, or if we don't have access to any of that, it would be rather easy questions which are there just to check if you grasp the basic concepts of the course. Of course, there are still some professors doing it the old fashioned way, but I think this will change over time. And maybe it's not the same in every field, but I'd like to believe it is.

I'll also join the exam rant. I have a great fear of exams and I've always hated them. During my master's degree (analytical chemistry) lots of exams were open-book and that really was a game-changer for me. These exams were not easier than closed-book ones, but much more practical and much closer to how you'd solve problems in real life. Still hated them though, but the format was way better.

lol no job where you have to think for yourself. So youre telling me if you needed surgery youd be ok with me pulling up a youtube video and using it to operate on you? lol

"Who the hell is this guy?!?!?" they literally answered this question lol. Also this isnt the first time Light gave the notebook to people (remember the youtsuba group?" Also they mentioned he guy is a lawyer... if he was a plant do you think hed be breaking the law murdering ppl who are innocent (exspecially considering how well he knows the law considering hes a lawyer) and thus implicating himself and going to prison for god knows how long, just to catch Kira? If that were the case just give the book to Mello he'd use it himself (weve seen him) to catch Light, wouldnt need a plant.

Let’s have a moment of silence for our dear friend, Demegawa. He lasted longer than anyone thought he would. May he get great ratings in trash tv heaven

Exams are about being able to work under pressure with the knowledge you have on hand & under pressure!

When it comes to schooling in general there are a good amount of things that you are taught that is necessary to function in society, such as math and english classes, but outside of that the only thing worth guiding children to understand is how to think critically. If you don't have the ability to comprehend what you read, make sound judgements on the information that's given to you, or utilize past experience to help you in the now, literally no amount of knowledge will be able to save you. It's something that has sadly been glossed over in American education for at least the last 20 years. You at best have a few questions on homework throughout a semester that is labeled as "critical thinking"

Personally I loved exams. I mostly just had to remember what was taught in class, and you can develop your skill at taking tests by taking into consideration the test maker's thought process, and by using pattern recognition, so that even if you aren't sure about an answer you can make an educated guess, or come up with something. I hated homework, assignments, and papers cause they take up time outside of class. It helps that most teachers and professors aren't the best at making good tests, so it's easier to game the system. I had a history professor that was really good at making exams so that you actually had to know the content really well to do well, and those were the only ones that ever gave me anxiety. He'd have multiple choice questions with like 6 answers where all of them but 1 were correct and you had to pick which was wrong, and even the one that was wrong wasn't obviously wrong, so for each question instead of knowing one thing correctly, you had to know 6 things correctly to get it right.
