Elfen Lied is in my opinion a beautiful and terribly sad anime. And I love it, seen it at least 4 times now and still cry at places. And Luke don't watch it on Twitch it's not Twitch safe.

The Nier Automata game came first, it came out in 2017 and has since been praised as one of the best games of the PS4 generation and I have to agree the game has multiple endings and the story and characters are amazing, I haven't watched the anime yet but as long as they haven't changed any of the source material it is gonna be amazing.

you 100% have seen nier before, the game is one of the most popular single player rpg's out to date. and it took them less than a decade to make the game into an anime.

There should be at least one problem with narration, considering the perspectives in A and B routes, I don't think they've managed to do it properly. You either split it like in the original (anyone loves endless eight? I do), mix it (breaking the immersion tempo? no thank you) or just drop the half (well, third) of the story. Don't see how it can work. The only way to do it properly is redo it from scratch. Still might be worth it.
