Quick heads-up regarding starting FMAB; the first couple episodes (don't know exactly how long it goes) will feel very rushed. Both Brotherhood and the original FMA are based on the manga, but FMA had to veer off into original content partway through due to outpacing the manga, whereas Brotherhood was done once the manga had completed. Brotherhood basically gives a rushed version of the starting parts of the story just because the original FMA anime wasn't that old and had already covered those early parts in more detail.

Not sure bout the misspelling rule. I interpreted it as if you mess up the name 4 times then you can't kill that person anymore. Seems strange if it literally is the death note will just cease to function.

In the 1st episode, it shows that Light writes down the biker dude's name more than 4 times, since he wasn't sure of the spelling, if I remember correctly. Lol. Not sure what the mid-card was on about.

Yeah I'm ok with doing FMAB after Death Note but please try both the dub and sub and decide which you like better. Personally I like the dub cause the VA for the main character in the sub is the same as Hange from AOT and it didn't feel right to me.

the missspell rule works for individual people, if you misspell a persons name in the death note 4 times, then that person is freed from being killed by the death note forever, however, if you intentionally misspell their name over 4 times, then this rule doesnt go into effect, meaning you can intentionally spell a persons name 4 times and then proceed to kill them by spelling it correctly a 5th time.

honestly I dislike light more after this episode due to his blatant manipulation and use of Misa. this isn't some romance that makes him look nice this is the exploitation of another person
