I knew you'd love these, the hype factor is great. The Rising of the Shield Hero OST has some AMAZING songs overall, one of my favs being OhKami by Kevin Penkin. I highly recommend you give the show a watch in the future, It's only 2 seasons so far with a 3rd on the horizon. Some would say season 2 isn't as good, but I feel it held up well enough. I love the world and it's mechanics. It's an "Isekai" (Another world) anime just like Reincarnated as a Slime so it has some gaming like stuff just like slime does.

i havent watched this show in years so I don;t remember much from it, but it's in the same genre that slime anime is, isekai, which is someone from one world ending up in another, which tends to be a medieval sort of fantasy one a lot of the time

Going to recommend some classic series to react to Slayers, Saber Marionette J and sequels, and Vandread, as well as a newer one called Rental Magica. All of them have great music

its kinda similar to one piece with its comedy and darkness, its lighthearted but when it wants to go dark. it goes very very dark

Season 1 is very captivating right off the bat if you’re an empathetic person. I loved season 1 so much that I’ve bought and read the first 19 novels so far. The writing is sometimes all over the place with its pacing and consistency, however, the details and world building in the novels are great. In general, but especially concerning season 2, it’s the kind of story you’d get a lot more out of by reading as there’s no way the anime can include all the details in the novels. While the writing isn’t perfect, there are masterfully written parts as well. It can be very dark and emotional at times, which contrasts well to its lighthearted scenes. I think season 1 is definitely worth a try and after recording the first few episodes you can decide if you think it would make for good reactions. However, after the first arc, there are a few mediocre ones until you get to some of the heavy hitting ones much later in the story. I think you’d enjoy season 1 a lot and it would do well reaction-wise, but after that it would be tricky as you’d need some patience. Hope that helps!

Rise of the Shield Hero is 2 seasons. S1 is better. S2 isn't terrible but doesn't carry the same pace or vibe. Concept for the show is similar to Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill. Hero is summoned but power dosn't seam built for combat. It gets good. The girl in the songs is early season. You are correct it is emotionally heavy of an anime. But it's Amazing.
