Luke makes ONE bad assumption at the start (about a unit of Eldians being wiped out*) and everything he figures out after that is a pile of nonsense. *He thought the Eldians were attacking our protagonists and that Eldians were in revolt or that there was an Eldian civil war. He completely forgot the bit from 2-3 episodes ago about Marley recruiting Eldians as cannon fodder and titan candidates.

Happy New Year's Eve! I haven't made it through the video yet but figured I should drop a comment about the reaction to the opening; there's a chance that people may have been asking for a reaction to the second opening. Attack on Titan's final season is divided into separate parts and the opening for Part 2 blew up across the internet (rightfully so, it's an absolute banger) so I assume it's more likely that people were commenting about that one, and not the first one 😅 I'm going to finish watching the video now but here's a preemptive "thank you" for another great reaction 😄

By the time the last part airs, season 4 will be the longest season by a significant margin. So while you're definitely pretty deep into the show, there's actually still a fairly large portion of it left. And imo some of the best, most mind blowing episodes of the whole series.

Season 4 is unlike any previous season before it. This was truly my favorite season out of all of them, and if they end the series like the manga, it's a perfect ending (though a lot of people don't seem to think so, and I don't quite know why).

A little spoiler free help on the timeline and war, as it does throw a lot at you quickly: Around 22 years ago, Grisha came to Paradis. 9 years ago, Annie, Bert, Reiner, and Marcel were sent on their mission. 4 years ago, most of seasons 1 to 3 happened. Mere months passed from when the Colossal titan appeared a second time and Eren discovered his titan abilities to Eren finally going to the basement. Marley keeps Eldians in internment zones to be used as fodder or trained as Warriors to ensure they remain in control of their titans. But 4 years ago, Reiner returned to Marley having lost two of their seven titans. Marley appeared weakened. That, plus the introduction of effective anti-titan weaponry, was the catalyst for war with other countries on the continent. And in the present day, Marley has just effectively won the war by takingout the last major stronghold and the alliance fleet. They control their continent and five titans, and are now free to turn their attention back to the island devils...

Theyre not having a war with the remaining Eldians, as its clearly shows there are Eldians in the trenches WITH Marleans, like you said yourself the Marleans keep the Eldians in cams and treat them bad.... treating them bad also includes.... using them as canon fodder/pawns to fight their wars too. As for who their at war with... remember we learned theres an entire planet still out there that doesnt consist of just the Island our main characters are on. Of course the Entire planet can be just Marleans and Eldian, different countries and cultures exist throughout the world and as Im sure you know different countries and cultures have wars all the time (I mean look at Russian and Ukraine... meanwhile the rest of the world/planet is doing there own thing not being effected or involved).

So have you even reacted to season 2 opening, I think as I have watched through this I never seen you react to openings that had spoilers for the current season. Like season 3 part 2 opening I haven't seen you react to.

It's only a "spoiler" if you've seen the show already. Otherwise without context 95% of that shit won't make sense. Which I can say about EVERY anime opening. It's not a spoiler if I don't know what the heck I'm looking at, and by the time I DO understand it I'm already up to speed with the show and know whats going on

I want Overlord or Mob Psycho to replace AOT, but re:zero would be acceptable as well. I haven't finished it yet it's kinda on and off for me when watching that so I guess it's just hard to keep my attention with a show like that, not as much action or fight scenes more world and character building which is awesome but not done in the way that I can binge watch the whole series in a few days (which I can still do with overlord and mob psycho now) Jujutsu kaisen is also AMAZING but I think that might be a good Patreon or twitch series since it's a bit shorter. Not super gory though so it would be fine on YouTube.

The problem is you already have the context to be spoiled by the opening from watching the show, and the more you watch the more you connect the dots, also there's openings that "spoil" and openings that just spoil. OP7 is the latter. Granted I watched the opening as episodes aired and it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the show or anything, but it still 100% spoils stuff.

A few things to clear up any of the misunderstandings (Spoiler free from this point ofc): Timeline: The paradise island mission started 9 years ago from this point where warriors were sent to trace and capture the founding titan. 4 years ago the mission failed and the remaining warriors: Zeke, Reiner and the Quadrupedal Titan return to Marley where they are sent on this mission to take down this fort putting the island mission on hold due to their failure of capturing the founding titan. Eldians (If you don't already know it's pronounced differently from what you said): Marley keeps Eldians in internment zones (As seen from the end of s3) where they use them in battle and select warrior candidates for training. Selecting warrior candidates is so they will keep the power of the titans (when their time is almost at end due to the Curse Of Ymir) within their arsenal since if they let them die the power is then given to a random newborn Eldian baby. Changes: The previous seasons have so far have been produced by Wit Studio whereas from this point the studio MAPPA has taken over production of AOT. As you may have noticed and you will continue to notice the animation and art style has, what I would say, drastically changed (In my opinion for the better as this suits the style of show AOT is.) however there will be some noticeable lack in animation (not necessarily bad but many others disagree) due to time constraints and other production issues. You should still find it to be enjoyable none the less as I did. Hope this cleared some things and keep up the great reaction content :)

Ok name one. I'm Watching an anime right now who's opening has a "spoiler" I've never read the manga but I know Bleach's new opening shows Ichigo with his new bankai. Well everyone knows any Shonen anime has characters upgrade, get new forms so that was obvious it was gonna happen. Also I don't know HOW he got the new bankai, WHY he got it now have seen it in action. Learning that information and seeing him fight with it is gonna be hype as hell, THATS what's gonna make it good, simply knowing it exists means nothing
