It's only 8 episodes and the story is from mobile game. Animation for it (anime) was really good, I did play little bit Arkknights on my phone. It's pretty decent anime. Story of this 1st season is basically first couple story chapters from the game, just made into anime.

If you like ReoNa she does the first ending for Shadows house which is amazing. I’d honestly love to see a reaction to the opening/endings of that show.

Reona also did another song for arknights as well called "untitled world". you can try and check that out as well. Also I wish you can also check out Aldnoah Zero op/ed too xD even though the anime is kind of average but the soundtrack of the anime is made by Sawano Hiroyuki who is also the one that did AOT soundtrack as well.

No, Arknights did actually release quite a few videos to the point where people said how awesome it would be if it got an actual anime. For instance, maybe you want to check out Holy Knight Light, a ten-minute video they released for Arknights‘ first anniversary. The Near Light and Under Tides event teasers are also quite good imo.
