Like Death Parade, your assumptions are deliciously wrong and this is one of those anime that we can't really tell you what its about without spoiling it; we can just loudly demand you try it. When I embarked on my anime journey, I had just watched Death Note. Told a friend I didn't think any anime would ever be anywhere near as good and they recommended this weird highschool looking bullshit. But I figured I should at least try it and ended up bawling at 3am.
