I once read in an interview, Makoto Yukimura, the author, mentioned that he originally wanted to start Vinland Saga straight from the perspective of a slave. However, his editor stopped him, saying that it would make it too difficult for readers to get into the story. I’m glad that Yukimura later decided to let Thorfinn experience being both a warrior and a slave, which provides readers with a more diverse perspective and allows us to understand the various ways of thinking and values associated with different identities within that era . I think the tranquility, beauty, and hidden preciousness of S2E6 really are built upon WE having gone through all the adventures, hardships, and suppression of Season 1 along with Thorfinn.

It’s crazy that small sentences like thorfinn saying hello is such a huge show for his character. He’s gotten so polite in the time at the farm and is slowly understanding how to live. So proud of him

I hope Einar never learns to fight. He's not only the one bringing out Thorfinn's humanity, but he's seen first hand how much damage being a warrior has caused to Thorfinn psychologically, so he should never want to take up a weapon. We've also seen him full of hatred and a desire of vengeance, yet he lacked that bloodlust / murderous intent to actually kill Thorfinn. Einar's a good person and I want him to stay that way.

I agree with you, this episode in my opinion is one of the most underrated of season 2

Hebi guy seems to be the son of old guy😂 Our boys got a horse and then horses with a plug:) Has Thorfinn remembered his sister and mother after what Einar did mention?
