Honestly, GGO is my personal top 3 arc for this anime (the others being Sword Art Online and Alicization)

Herrscher Of Cope

GGO has one of the best versions on Swordland imo Also, people say Kirito is “OP, boring with no character development” mean while he is having a mental breakdown due to his trauma. This series actually showing real world problems like PTSD, survivors guilt etc is why I think it’s a great show

Frentzy

Well z.z have you seen then vinland saga? (especially s2), that show excel in that.

Herrscher Of Cope

No but it’s on my watch list. My point here is more that people down play SAO having any real depth to the story/characters

mmies100

"we must save my family!!!" you have to do reaction to sao abridged. Pls

Derek Chouinard

the "I was hoping for more flashbacks on this" episode end face was great

Abe J

This is so difficult to watch. If there is a hell it's twitch. Good luck, time for me to stop watching.

wildhunt1973

Wait...did I see someone named Jack Reacher on the leader board? Welp, everyone in that game is screwed.

Zer0

Destroyed if often used by translators in lieu of killed because censors. Don't need to read too much into the wording.

alicev89

It makes perfect sense for the nurse to talk about sometimes you have to chose between who lives and who dies, she did work in surgery before.

Juho Kaartoaho

I would love to see your reaction to Helsing abridged or SAO abridged. The thing to keep in mind with those is that they have often had problems with music, so it would probably be better as patreon or YouTube (because you can edit around it a bit). Don't know how trigger happy Twitch would be.

Juho Kaartoaho

Question about One Piece reaction. Assuming it isn't over when you catch up, will you make it a weekly series then? Or will you pause reaction at that point and come back to it later, or maybe even pause it before going into ongoing arc so that it would not be paused mid way?

Michael

Simon is the best sniper in the game, and she also has the best sniper rifle in the game, there is also bullet travel and fall off in the game, it’s basically Battlefield in how the guns work, at least that’s how I understand it.

Jurriën Bolding

Luke has become such a degenerate due to anime lmao, can't go a minute without at least 1 sexual joke.

Robert Larkin

As a former medic, unfortuanetly the nurse is correct. When you have any kind of mass casualty incident there is very cold logic that you have to apply. There are multiple people who need immediate high level care and not enough immediate high level care available. Part of triage is deciding who is beyond the ability to save. This means you can look at a patient and if they meet certain criteria you will put a black tag on them even though they are still alive at the time.

Daniel Turchan

Ghost stories isn’t even the abridged, the dub team was just given full freedom and made it absolutely sus and funny af. I would recommend sao abridged, it does a great job of giving the show more believable characters bc Kirito in real SAO is not relatable at all, a mmo god who actually is a great person and good in social situations, it makes more sense that he plays games bc he’s not social and can b someone he can’t b in the real world. Damn, I’m quoting Rosalia, I’m real sick of her first year psyc student bs… Also, she’s right, in medicine, decisions on who lives and dies is something that happens, my uncle had a heart attack on a boat and was without oxygen for enough time to severely damage his brain to the point where he could no longer function. We were having trouble deciding whether or not to revive him, the nurses helped, they suggested we pull the plug, it would b no way to live, so yes, one of them had to shut off the system that kept him alive, so yes, they do have to make those decisions along with the families of the patients they treat

While the Abridged series is great and I would love to see reactions to it even more than of the original series, it is one of the most popular ones, therefore having the unfortunate side effect of attracting the cringe 14-year olds that go around and spam the quotes of it without context. And when people read those, it's like reading a transcript of a stand-up comedy - there's barely any substance to it when there is no performance with it, especially in something like this when a lot of its weight is in the voice acting performance, the build ups, and the context of earlier episodes. To properly define what it really is, it's a parody of the series that start out as breaking down each episode into an "anime in the nutshell" type of video, therefore "abridging" it with heavy editing, voice acting of the characters, and making fun of the show's less logical storytelling or character decisions. But pretty much all the truly good ones eventually become so high quality that they become their own retellings of the story, paying the homage to the original by seeking to genuinely improve on it by patching the plot holes and fleshing out the one-dimensional characters, while still maintaining the comedic aspect. Sword Art Online is probably the best one to start with, even if you weren't already watching the show, as the abridging style had already been around for some years, making even their earliest episodes pretty good. You can look at it as how it would be like if we were the ones trapped in SAO ;P Hellsing Abridged is also quite up there, and the creators of that one main project was Dragonball Z Abridged. Many would claim that DBZ Abridged is THE best one out there, but unfortunately it is also one of the oldest ones, having started over 15 years ago, making the comedy and editing of their early episodes extremely dated, making it not the best one to start with, as it will just seem like Youtube Poop esque videos. If you do give SAOA a chance after this, you might still want it as censored/overlayed as actual anime episodes you post, because despite being on Youtube the reactions still get attacked by copyright. It is always resolved but it can be quite inconvenient to deal with.

Zer0

Even though you haven't seen the original, best abridge is DragonBall Z Abridged by TeamFourStar. All other abridge series is copying it. The best official dub that would be consider an abridged is Ghost Stories.

Calixen

So glad you've made it this far and still enjoying the series, can't wait until you get past Ordinal Scale and start up the last big season \o/ Abridged series to watch, I'd recommend anything made by the group Team Four Star, absolutely legendary

axilir21

One Piece will have ended before he starts reacting to it. It will take him at least 3 years to catch up when he does.

Vinnick

For abridged series, SAO Abridged is phenomenal. Although you might just want to watch season 1 right now (the Aincrad arc only) as they're still working on the finale for season 2 (the Alfheim arc), although they should hopefully be releasing it in the next few months. But I'd still heavily recommend DBZ Abridged. The first few episodes are a little rough in terms of quality as they were just starting out, but they're damn funny, and they pick up quickly. Even for someone who's never watched DBZ, you'll be able to follow it.

Pilligrim Ilyas

Man, GGO is so good though. I thought it would be the one that didn't age well and be worse after re-watching but no. It still feels as fresh as the first time! Good sht

Adam

There are absolutely times you need to choose who lives and who dies in medicine. Say there's an accident late at night at like 3 am and there's 5 people in critical condition that need emergency surgery. However there's only one hospital in the area and there's only one surgeon on shift. By the time he finishes with one patient it could be too late for another. Sure, they might be able to call in more, but that takes time. This is where triage comes into play. Is one patient a child? Perhaps one of them has injuries that they are more likely to recover from. Etc. The hospital staff need to choose who they are going to help first, and who they are going to help last, and the person helped last may very well die in the meantime. They could also need an organ transplant. Maybe two different patients need immediate heart transplants, however there's only one heart that's a match for both of them available. Who gets the heart? Or perhaps a woman is in the midst of childbirth and there's a serious complication resulting in a choice between the mother or child surviving. Ideally the mother or other family member will make that choice, but if she's incapacitated and there's no one else it would fall on the hospital staff to make the decision.

Racc

i hope after this arc he jumps straight to mother rosario

Sean Mcguinness

SAO Abridged is a lot shorter than the original, like 1/3 of the length and only covers a small portion of the series. I seriously, cannot say how much I would LOVE for you to react to it, more than almost anything before. It's hard to explain what it is, and I highly recommend you dive in blind on a stream since It's seriously a very well done version of the series. It's a parody with a somehow better written Kirito.

Matthew

watch SAO abridged youll love it

Sean

Assuming you mean Alicization pt1 and not War of Underworld. WoU was hot garbage.

Finito

Yeah its crazy how a comedy parody is somehow better?!?!

CoreTendency

Spoiler Warning! This man reveals the ending of Scooby Doo 2. Shameful...

dragean greyfield

Urgency of affliction and/or lack of resources determines when medicine needs to choose who lives and dies. The universal law of medicine is that not everyone can be saved.

Isralfel

Please please please watch the Abridged SAO from Something Witty Entertainment. Not even joking, I love SAO, but the Abridged is literally better writing and character development than the original, and it's so fucking funny. The comedy writing is top notch and they even do little edits, too. They even change the mouth movement to match the new audio. It's only up to episode 17 at this point, which is still season 1, which means you could watch it even now! I would LOVE to watch you react to it!

brotato 96

Did you notice how until an year ago he would make a poker face or try to be neutral about sexual references in anime. But now he has understood we all are degenerates lmao and we can all laugh about it.

Hitomi Ochiai

Dont worry, they will spoon feed you the answers. Lol

Rugo

ghost stories dub is actually not a parody and the offical dub for the show, but iirc the dub voice actors got free reign to pretty much say anything they want and wasn't actually translated

Rugo

I had the same experience with being told the wait all the way back in middle school, and my young dumbass liked her for both the years straight until I eventually learned that 💀

Rugo

holy shit so much to say this stream, sao was my first anime, so i never noticed the eva elevator reference before until now, thats actually crazy they didnt even try to be secret about it haha

axilir21

Aight so next stream will be good, season 2 part 1 conclusion and part 2 with ... 😭

Itto Sanzzo

he asked what Abriged is, so I will answer what Hellsing Ultimate Abriged is: the best thing you will have ever seen. (If you watched the actual anime before)

MAH1RO

What Sinon saw in her memory of the other kids is to 99% not what really happened. A trauma really changes your perception of the world in an extreme way, so often you see nearly all interactions connected to the trauma - even positive ones VERY negative (like "they just act nice, but that's not what they really think"). You don't see things like they are anymore, you see them extremely biased. And this extreme bias can even completely change the memories about this. (Some kids are really brutal with no filters, but most stop at least at some point) So even if someone was nice to her, she probably would have believed it was not honest and that he secretly judged her - and later in the memory only the judgement remains. Trauma is really fucking your life hard. I had 2 of them. One from an accident that "only" maximized my fear of heights, the other one from problems in my family when I was a child. Only recently I realized how much the second one changed my perception of so many things in my life over years. By far not as bad as in Sinons situation, but I can really understand her to some point.

Léo Orfanotti

He must see the Gigguk's parodies

David Stern

You should definitely watch sao abridged

rostikowb

I don't know why, but for some reason I can't get into Kirito's trauma, maybe it's because of fanservice when they talk about important topics or overacting. For example, I really liked a similar theme in Vinland Saga

Bryan Duarte

Start then Naruto, One Piece at the end, both are great but OP doesn't has end yet D:

Cédric Michaud

1:59:00 If we are talking about easter eggs in anime I can think of Maki in Kaguya-sama for one instance

Alva S

at 2:04:17, i thought he was actually going somewhere with that... I was not expecting him to say that!! 😂

Obviously the doctor isent talking about your average doctor appointment but there are definatly extreme situations where its just impossable to save everyone despite how hard hospitals try and choices just have to be made. A transplant situation fits very well and lets say u got 2 patients that desperatly needs a new heart and 1 is available, who gets it? Both of them have flatlines before and anyday could be there last at this point and a 2nd matching heart showing up is very unlikly so who gets it? Ofc the hospital isent gonna just cut the life support on 1 but they know that whoever dosent get the heart is likly dead in a few days and those are the choices that she is obviously refering to here. Shes trying to tell Kirito that he dident kill becouse they were evil, he did it to protect others that would have been killed if he hadent.

Shanakar

As someone who grew up the first 21 years of his life in hospital, had over 30 surgeries, has had to learn how to walk twice, how to eat, swallow, breath, talk multiple times in my life, and am alive due to the sacrifices of others, I can tell you that she is 100% correct when she says in Medicine, they have to sometimes choose who lives and who dies. For me, that part was a very powerful moment as I experienced it a lot in my life. Organ transplants is not choosing who lives and who dies most times. It's either taken by a donor who will be fine with the second part like a kidney, or from someone who is already dying. The only time it applies is for example when the hospital has two patients but one compatible heart. Having to choose which patient gets it and which doesn't is essentially choosing who lives and who dies. Also situations like when a child is being born and them being forced to choose to save the mother or the child because for some fucked up reason life can't explain, one of the two can't make it. Who do you choose? It's a pretty heart wrenching decision hospitals have to go through many times.

KeithKVH

cliffhanger says get rekt

HappyDoodads

There's a much easier example that 99% of people are very familiar with: the COVID pandemic. At its peak, hospitals were often working at over 200% capacity 24/7, so the staff often had no choice but to pick and choose who to focus treatment on. Medicine is about saving as many lives as possible, but conversely, it also means that you can't always save everyone, so you have to be prepared for that if you plan to work in the sphere.

Live chat missed the opportunity when he asked how good she was, she’s been killing since she was a little girl. Of course she’s good.
