The only reason the Japanese special zone didn't work last time was because Lelouch's Geass went out of control, if that didn't happen then it would've worked, since something like that can't happen again, now's the perfect opportunity to actually make it work, and at least Euphy's dream to create that area will be brought to life. Also Lelouch cares about Nunnaly much more that answers, that's why finding out about his mother's death is on the back burner, because all that matters now is Nunnaly. Also Lelouch wanted to create a better world for Nunnaly, answer has always been a secondary goal, Lelouch would definitely give up finding out the truth if it means giving Nunnaly a better life in seconds.

It was such a good episode to see Lelouch fall into so low at the same time getting a new reason other than Nunnaly to be Zero, but you really can't read where Lelouch's plan is going. Btw, Rolo's close up was more for showing how he is trying to pressure Lelouch into forget about Nunnaly and being Zero even if it's against his wish. Rolo obviously just doesn't want to lose the family he finally found even if it's just a made up one.

Luke ether didn't catch on to the fact or just has forgotten that all of this has been for Nunnaly from the very beginning. The point in the first place was to protect Nunnaly and himself being abused in political ways if they were found out to be still alive. Now Nunnaly is in a high ranking position and Susaku is her knight, meaning that she isn't really in any danger anymore. Before the black knight were just a way to have forces that could oppose Britannia and safeguard Nunnaly. He never honestly cared about anyone else. Only now in this episode he finally has seen that there are others in his life and that black knights are not just pieces on a chess board.

The reason why the SAZ went so poorly last time wasn't because of the plan.. It was because Lelouche ordered Euphy to kill everyone but he was about to join her in it. No spoilers so I wont elaborate too much but its a bit unfair to say joining the SAZ is a terrible idea because of what happened last time. That was quite literally ALL Lelouche's fault. Also, you've missed it a couple times but they are frequently making allusions to his mother and the mystery there.

Kallen fell for Zero not lelouch. he lied to her and made her feel betrayed but she still knows that its the only hope they have. Kallen went out to find out why he was absent and he almost forced himself on her its understandable why she ran off after that. She still somewhat cares for him due to what Zero has done for her but can't get over the betrayal he did.

Lelouch knows who would know about his mother. Cornelia told him about Schniezel, the 2nd prince, in s1. If he doesn't know, then only the Emperor knows. No reason for him to do anything about it since he has bigger issues to deal with atm. It's not forgotten.

Interesting thing about them using bubbles to capsize boats in this episode is that the US actually tested exploding large bombs up to nukes underwater to do the same thing/ split them in half and it was found to be reasonably effective, especially the nuke unsurprisingly.

Lelouch's only lead on the death of his Mother is Schniezel, there's no way for Lelouch to get to him, so his only recourse is to let Schniezel come to him. Can't really do that while 1. Rebuilding the Black Knights 2. Trying to manage his school life while he was under constant surveillance and 3. Having a mental episode because Nunnaly is back trying to recreated the Special Administrative Zone of Japan.

Btw Kallen doesn't have "feelings" for Lelouch, her admiration was for Zero only. Zero and Lelouch being the same person is a point of conflict for her.

The only reason it didn't work under Euphy was because Lelouch's geass suddenly activated permanently and he made that joke which turned into an order by accident to Euphy. If that hadn't happened, the zone would have been realized.

One of the target audience of this Anime is BL(boys love) friends, mainly female, about a decade a ago there is a big ground of audience like to fanaticize sexual relationship between male in show, which specifically should be strict. that's why they film it that way.

CC has not said Marianne while "talking to herself" before this. It has been implied and Marianne has been mentioned in other contexts but the CC marianne link was not explicit until now

Oh Luke, you aren't aware of the true joys and horrors of marketing in Code Geass 😂. EVERYONE wants a piece of Lelouch. Gender or "title" doesn't matter. I mean just look at the all the official art (or don't LOL, but can garuntee, Rolo and Lelouch IS in there. One of the many) {Also, as an in universe explanation, I wouldn't expect someone like Rolo to know or care what boundaries are. So they just capsized instead. Also, Suzaku didn't just randomly assemble a naval task force and stumble on the the Black Knights by accident. He must have had some intel (a mole?) to tip him off. Again, that's what I assume. He's one of the KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND. He has insane authority to do what he wants (if he can justify it later). He's like a Grey Lensman.
