Hello Raider.IO Patrons, and Happy July!

Summer is officially here! Flowers are in full bloom, grills are being lit, and the sun is out – well, maybe a little too out in some places (don’t forget your sunscreen). As we bask in the warm weather, we’re also getting ready to say goodbye to Dragonflight…that’s right, there’s less than two months left for us in Valdrakken and the Dragon Isles, as The War within beckons!

Whether you’re spending your time beta testing, preparing for The Great Push, or completing your pet and mount collections, there’s still plenty going on in-game and in the Community. Let’s take a look at some recent events, and what’s coming up soon.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATES

The Dev team has been busily working away at improving our many existing features, and in developing new ones! Some highlights since our last update:

DESKTOP APP UPDATES

We've continued to iterate on the new and improved Raider.IO Desktop App, to provide the best user experience possible.

  • We've increased feature support to Cataclysm Classic and Classic Era, and now almost all features available on retail that are powered by the Desktop App and Live Tracking, are now accessible for Classic players! This includes raid progression tracking, character profiles, recent activity, and stream widgets.

  • You can now setup distinct WoW folders to monitor in case you have different WoW versions installed on different hard drives.

  • You can now see character talents and gear directly in the App, without having to open the website.

TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

We've added support for Two Factor Authentication management on your profile to increase the security of your account. You can set this up here: https://raider.io/settings/two-factor-authentication.

UPCOMING FEATURES

There's lots of behind-the-scenes work being done by the Raider.Io Dev team to prepare some new and exciting features. We're looking forward to sharing them with you, so keep an eye out for future updates and feedback opportunities!

MYTHIC+ CHARITY PRO-AM

The 4th Annual Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am took place on May 25th, and was a rousing success. 6 Teams made up of Pro Players, Content Creators, and Amateurs (via open registration) competed in a Great Push style Mythic+ tournament to raise money for charity! There was some amazing gameplay, some epic shenanigans, and a whole lot of fun. 100% of the 20k Prize Pool, generously donated by our sponsors Elgato, Raidbots, and Wowhead, went to the beneficiary charities. Combined with direct donations during the event from the incredible Warcraft Community, we raised $36,187. That puts us at over $160,000 raised since the Pro-Am began in 2021.

Our charities this year were AbleGamers, The Trevor Project, Girls Who Code, Direct Relief, Equal Justice Initiative, and Women in Games International. We encourage you to check out the amazing work they do in gaming and beyond, and make sure you keep your eyes out for the 2025 edition of the Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am… you might just be one of the lucky Amateurs to join the squads!

CATACLYSM CLASSIC ARENA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Last month saw the return of World of Warcraft Esports to Classic! The Cataclysm Arena World Championship took place on June 14-16. There were some old favourites and some newcomers to the scene, and a hearty congratulations to the winners: The Workshop (EU) and Team Liquid (NA).

If you missed the event, but want to go back and check it out, we’ve got you covered! You can check out each match played on our Bracket pages, and if you click on them you can see a timestamped VOD, as well as expanded information on the players’ gear and talents.

For those of you who have been playing Cataclysm, don’t forget that we’ve expanded many of our features to Classic, including full player and guild profiles, AND even Recruitment! You can check them out here: https://classic.raider.io/

THE GREAT PUSH

The Mythic Dungeon International returns for Dragonflight Season 4 with The Great Push! The Proving Grounds concluded on June 24th, and the top 12 teams have advanced to the Group Stages. This weekend the 6 teams from Group A will face off to see who can push the highest in this Season’s dungeons. All eyes will be on reigning MDI Champions, Mandatory, to see if they can pull out another win from Echo!

Make sure to tune in on the Official Warcraft Twitch and YouTube Channels to catch the action. For additional information including live updates, highlights, and expert analysis, you’ll want to have your browser open to Raider.IO’s MDI Coverage page!

MMO AWARDS

Did you know that there’s now an MMO Awards show? That’s right! Team Liquid Content Creator, Caster, and Official Host of the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship, Eiya, has created a new Awards show to honour MMOs and their Communities!

Even more exciting is the fact that Raider.IO has been nominated for 4 awards! They’re currently in the nomination phase still, which lasts until July 5th. After this phase ends, the top 4 nominees per category will be officially “nominated” for the awards, and then the actual voting phase begins.

How can you help? Head on over to https://mmoawards.com/ and nominate Raider.IO for these awards:

Community Organizer of the Year
Video of the Year (Battlefield Banter)
Event of the Year (Break the Meta)
Event of the Year (Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am)

If you’ve been a fan of Break the Meta, the Pro-Am, our Content, or the work we do in the Community, please show us your support!

RAIDER.IO MERCHANDISE

We're currently in the process of revamping the Raider.IO Shop, and we'd like your feedback! Keep your eyes open for a survey coming shortly to let us know what kind of merchandise you'd be the most interested in having available for purchase.

That's it for this update! Happy 4th of July to our American friends, and we hope our Canadian patrons had a wonderful Canada Day! However or whatever you're celebrating this Summer, we hope you make memories for years to come.

Thank you for your continued support of Raider.IO - As always, we’d love to hear from you; join us on Discord or reach out to us on Twitter with questions, comments, feedback… or just to say hi!

-Aspyr, Ulsoga, and the Raider.IO team
