 Greetings! Here’s what’s up.

We’ve been spending every minute we can on the development, but unfortunately, and I hate to say it, we need another delay. The update will be up by the end of this week, I’ll do my best to explain why (without any spoilers) in this post.

Because I don’t want to spoil future events even further, here’s a redrawn “Chief Hypnosis” picture of Kira instead:

 I’m not done with the "art replacement in older events" step, because I’ve spent too much time drawing new content. And Moana still needs to test this new quest, it’s the first quest that will completely work on our new system and will show all physical changes.

Moana found a better way of using and preloading pictures for our events. This plugin kind of changes a lot for us, with it - the game should perform much better, but it requires a different code.

I also want to redraw some existing characters, only the ones involved in the new you quest and create a separate non-erotic picture for one of your choices in the upcoming quest.

Remember the machine at the rebel’s base? The one that started the whole Legion quest, it was supposed to have its own repeatable scene and I’ve never managed to draw it, because something else always comes up. I don’t want this new quest to repeat its fate, I want it to be finished from start to finish and have all the art it needs.

What has been done:

New quest;

Two new events  (More actually, but I’m counting them as two);

Some new artwork for the npcs;

Approximately half of older events are now with a new art;

Glitches and Lag issues are more or less fixed.

We will continue to look for solutions to our performance issue, and with every update the game will work better and better.

Now here’s what we still need to do:

Recode two new events for the new performance plugin.

Test out how "events system" works with a potential “maximum” of physical changes and new performance plugin - we need to do this just so we won’t have to redo our events again in the future and avoid future lag/glitches issue.

Finish art replacement process for older events.

Draw new character art for involved npcs.

Draw 1 more CG, for a particular quest choice.

I could power through myself and finish the art replacement process (which is arguably the last important part of this update) tonight, that would mean that I won’t be able to sleep again.

But I’d really prefer to work on this update more, just a couple of days longer, no major delays this time around. I see the upcoming update as us coming back to shape with regular releases and new content, so I want it to be as good as it can be, and it’s not there  yet .

 I hope you can understand. We will release the game as soon as we can, there’s not much left to do. So it should be out by the end of this week, we’ll do everything in our power to upload it by friday or sooner, so you could play it over the weekend.

Thank you for your support and patience, I really think you’ll understand why I’ve had to delay the upcoming update and why it was worth it, but I’ll let you be the judge of that once it will be out this week.

Thanks for the update, FM. Thankfully, a Friday release works better for me; I get to spend more time enjoying the game (with less risk of my wife noticing lol). Thanks for all you guys do!

Hi Mulan, what's the current status? Any chance of getting the update out today?

Another missed, already delayed deadline...

I'm all for waiting as long as it takes to get the final amazing result, but perhaps from now on just give vague release windows so you don't have to keep missing deadlines. It would help people from getting angry and probably keep you from having to apologize as much. Development sucks, and sometimes shit happens to delay you, so this might be better for everyone. Regardless of your choice, food for thought.

Is there any progress so far?

quality takes priority in my opinion, as I'd rather have something done right to play with as opposed to something rushed out the door. Thank you for your work Mulan, have a nice day.

I agree with AtheistJesus but it'd be nice to at least have a heads up on the delay. Something small like "yo, the update is taking even more work than expected, it'll be out in another day or two" will do.
