My loyal old Mustek A3 scanner is ever so slowly giving up the ghost. Anyone out there got a 11x17 scanner they're trying to get rid of? And do I have to make this page "Patrons Only" because Snakeyes said "Sonnuvabitch"? I'm not good at judging other folks' level of prudery.

You'll want an Epson 110000. It's what is used to scan in and clean up Cerebus.

OR you could get a large footprint photocopier like what the law firms use. With some hunting around you should find one new for between $200-$500, and it would include usb and/or ethernet ports (both allow you to transport a file made during a scan, and the later might make it possible to perform the process directly from your computer). Just be sure what you are getting can SCAN an 11x17 sheet, not just print it (yes, you have to make very sure because for some unknown reason the manufacturers don't always seem to think a machine that can print that large needs to scan that large).
