Another cool new modern but oldschool ass throwback survival horror type thing ooh boy. This one was popular with the streamers i think, it had some buzz. Unlike Tormented Souls which uses 1990s ass mechanics and story elements with a more modern presentation this one goes all the way with the gimmick and makes the graphics, sound, and presentation as playstation 1 as it possibly can. There's even a PS1 filter you can use, as well as a VHS one and a bunch of other ones. Wow. Totally rad. 

This game is liminal as fuck, like the space between two paragraphs when you accidentally put too many spaces between paragraphs which i just did and i'm not fixing it. The opening prologue in the mall is simultaneously nostalgic as fuck and creepy as shit. It really captures the mood of being a kid and being in a public place after hours, when you're not supposed to be there, and all the people are gone. Everything's the same, but different, ya know? Ya know what i'm saying? Don't tell me you never explored like that as a kid. I sure as hell did. I could swear i've been in this exact situation before, just like the game. OH shit did this game really happen to me? Did i repress running from a killer easter bunny? Is it all flooding back now? The answer is yeah probably. 

Scary Game Scary game its really scary the graphics and presentation are very effective at taking you back to that isolated horror feeling of basking in the blue glow of a CRT up in your room playing some sppoky shit. Ah what the hell am i doing writing a review? Trying to make normal points and cogent observations? It's clearly too late for that i've already gone insane for the night and all i can do is babble incoherently by smashing my face on the keyboard and somehow producing words.
