This game is just so HAPPY.

I'm tempted to learn game programming just so I can make a Christmas game in which Santa isn't portrayed as a useless slob. Something like "Santa vs Predator".

Hey Clint, any plans on unleashing new clones in 2018? How about a Valentine's or an Easter's Clone?

It was also made using the Allegro Game Programming Libraries, the same I used myself for my past games and this one's still top-rated on the Allegro.cc website! :)

I have to admit.. this one slipped me by. I mean, I've never heard of Happyland Adventures at all until now. Looks, neat, though.

I'd never heard of it either until some years ago when people were requesting it in the comments! Came out a bit beyond the time when I was actively looking for games like that.

Those snails reminded me of magic pockets :)

What a cute happy game! I'd never heard of it. I'm terrible at platformers though so it'd probably drive me crazy. Especially the sliding move!

Memories! I remember this game being my envy back when I was young and trying to swallow C in my omg-the-internet-is-so-cool attention-span. Looking back a decade and a half later, it brings back very fond memories.

Allegro has a TON of features. It's not however an "engine". It merely provides a framework of basic functions to make accessing things like graphics and audio way easier than trying to do it from scratch. Also makes porting easier as it's multi-platform. ;)

In the intro what drink are you drinking?

Oh no, what have you done Clint?! This is. To my life for the immediate foreseeable future. Wall humping and little helpers here I come....

And a merry Christmas to you too!

I've never beaten the Xmas edition of this game because it was too long, quite brutal and had no option for saving. Which is a shame because it really is one of the best Christmas themed games available for freeware, and I wish there was a recreation of the game released as an indie title someday!

Indeed, if it wasn't for the password system this would be entirely too aggravating in certain sections
