Well, that was quite the episode 😬

I still tried to have some fun with it though 🙃

Moonlight Is A Mixer

the reason why you thought some of them would be top 9 but then weren’t is because i feel like you weren’t considering the ranks from the second week much (which is fine i just think you would’ve had more accurate guesses if you considered them a bit more) like hanbin was 36th in the second week, so going from 36th to top 9 with your performance aired 11 hours before the ending of the voting is pretty hard for jongwoo it was even harder as he was 67th in the second week and his performance was also aired during the 4th episode

I really enjoyed all the performances in this episode! -_- Thnx Mnet! You really outdid yourself, in the worst way possible. I'm already fearing the finale...

That's some lightning fast reaction time you got there. I was still editing my comment lol :D

i laughed so bad at you wanting jongwoo on the top 9 even when that was basically imposible for the first eliminations given his ranking because i was the same 😭 HAHAHA i just love him so much, but yeah, like someone already said, it would be more accurate if you considered their previous rankings. Also, i think in the next episode (if i’m not mistaken) there’s an after credits scene with a trainee if you would like to watch it on the reaction or on your own after :] thank u for the reaction and i’ll be waiting for the next one !

I need to confess: After the second worst installment off Hidden Camera I have seen so far, I started skipping through the vod to get to the end faster...

A comment warned me last week about something iffy that was going to happen in this episode but honestly I was still surprised and I wish I skipped it.

I've managed to watch ahead a bit (wanting to avoid spoilers as much as I can) and that now comes with the perk of getting to sit through these eliminations a second time. Fun! - Or just call him Hoetaek. Which is arguably harder to pronounce :D - Yeah, it's always nice to see the people that you root for on these shows debut in other groups even if they didn't make it. I can think of several examples from Girls Planet and the Produce series. Like Yoon Jia getting into mimiirose or groups like Everglow and Purple Kiss who have several PD48 contestants. - Speaking of Billlie, they just had a really fun appearance on Weekly Idol. Could be something for a Tuesday reaction maybe? - Here he is! The master of drawing announcements out to hell and back. - What if the next show has Song Joong-ki host the surivival announcements? Imagine getting eliminated by Vincenzo. - I like this setup of calling the teams out one by one. Makes it easier to follow along and understand which contestants did which performance. - Danger is the one match where I don't agree with the results. G team was stronger imo and should've won this. - Yeah alright Mnet, we don't need to see all the drama again. - „Noona, You're So Pretty“ also known as Replay by SHINee. No idea why the subbers chose to literally translate the Korean title. - Lee Daeul also benefits from a lot of screentime. He was literally the very first contestant we saw in episode 1. - It's Yeo Jin-goo, you KNOW he's gonna milk the fuck out of this. We've seen Girls Planet. - I like Takuto and I'm definitely rooting for him but I also think he's still a bit too young to debut. Give him a few more years to grow and mature and he can be really great. I see potential but it's too soon right now. - Damn. I think Chen Yugeng (leader of Danger G team) would have deserved to survive. Some others too, like Jiho or Yuto. A shame. - Milking tears. - Ah, Cha Woongki. He used to be in TO1 until he was kicked out with no reason given as to why. Apparently he „didn't fit the concept“ anymore. Bullshit if you ask me. - Seungeon was so good! - Birds on your window? Is your second name Vincenzo by any chance? - Mingyu is objectively pretty terrible but I just can't help but root for him? He has that spirit and he's so damn likable too! I wouldn't put him in the final debut team (he needs a lot more training before he can debut) but damn it, I want to see him succeed! I'll definitely keep an eye on him after this show. - Yeo Jin-goo being like DJ Khaled out here. ANOTHER ONE. - Yes, Attention is one of the performances they didn't show. - Yuki definitely deserved to continue but that's just how it is. - We're interrupting our regularly scheduled heartbreaks for a surprise DANCE BREAK. BREAKDANCE. - Choi Youngjoon and Back Kooyoung. - Fuck point benefits, we need FOOD! - Nah, first round goes to Yedam for me. - Can you believe that WakeOne kicked Woongki out of his group? THIS GUY? - Windmilling all around the stage - Listen, Mingyu might not be all that technically skilled but he has the confidence and just GOES for it. - Yeah but Wonyoung ate the pizza like that BECAUSE SHE WAS FILMING AN ADVERTISEMENT AND WAS DIRECTED TO DO IT LIKE THAT. Some people, ffs. - And now back to our regularly scheduled torture session. - Oh yeah, Oh Sungmin was also kicked out of TO1. Went by the stage name Jerome when he was in that group. - 90 degrees is not enough for Haruto. He needs to do the full 180 degree bow. - Yes, spacing the two Love Me Right performances so far apart is also an example of evil editing. It's not just Mnet manipulating drama that didn't actually occur. - About Krystian, apparently they did actually make it seem far worse than it was. Krystian was the only member on his team who could speak Korean, Chinese AND English. So he did a lot of translating for the other guys. Mnet's editing, however, made it look like he was constantly talking over Kamden which was absolutely not the case in reality. Mnet even went as far as cutting in completely unrelated audio onto the video footage and messed with Kamden's reaction shots which were apparently from other unrelated situations. Here are some videos that go into detail: https://youtu.be/QrpREMd3j4U https://youtu.be/uzX_MgBFjAA https://youtu.be/-I7y1WLYLeY https://youtu.be/tNG5Qu8qDT8 (skip to 8:02) In conclusion: Fuck Mnet, those cucks. I don't even understand why they do this. It's not entertaining, it doesn't add any value to the show, just stop. - What happened to you Jin-goo? Not milking it anymore? - Such a shame about Winnie, I wanted to see more of him. Han Seobin too. - The absolute culling of the Burn It Up teams. Brutal. - I think at least Park Minseok should have made it. For how well he ended up leading his team. - And Kei! He was a surprisingly good rapper. Chen Renyou was good too. - Park Hanbin is one I could actually picture in the final Top 9. Wouldn't it be funny if we ended up with two Hanbins in the group? Park Hanbin and Sung Hanbin. - Bak Doha is in the same category as Jung Mingyu for me. Technically not that skilled but with the right passion and attitude. You just can't help but root for them. - Park Hyunbeen wears his heart on his sleeve and it's honestly so nice to see someone who makes no attempts at hiding his emotions. - What the fuck is even going on with the Hot Sauce ranks - CL was on an episode of Hot Ones! If you haven't seen it already, it might be something for Tuesdays, right? - ALL OF HOT SAUCE K TEAM MADE IT. What the hell is even going on? - But this also means that Osuke is out. Damn. - I'm not even gonna comment on the whole thing with the feather headdress. - Meanwhile they just taped some pink wigs to Xuan Hao's arms. And surprisingly he makes it work. - I don't like this. It's just mean and unneccessary. - P1Harmony have also been quite vocal advising against anyone joining their agency. There was a fancall where a fan said that they wanted to audition for FNC as well and the members were all like „No, don't do this, this is a horrible idea!“ That should give you a pretty good idea of how they feel about their company and how they're treated. - I already said my piece about Krystian earlier so I just wanna mention that he looks much better with the blonde hair! - Junhyeon what the fuck is this - From what I've heard, Krystian was mortified when he saw the episode and how he was portrayed. It's quite impressive how he now owns up to the (wrong) image he's been given. And takes the opportunity to try and get people on his side, despite Mnet's best efforts. - YOON JONGWOO. MAH BOI. THE MAN. - Jongwoo went up TWENTYNINE ranks. That is so fucking impressive. - I am absolutely okay with everyone who survived from Kill This Love. But Min also would have deserved it. - Yes, Okazaki Momoko has been a backup dancer for Babymetal for some time and was now finally promoted to be a full member! - Of course they're milking it out that long! It's Mnet after all! - This is a good Top 9 but it is severely lacking in Park Gunwook. - I am here, sitting through this entire reaction. And this is my second time watching this episode. - GREAT. Give three people a bit of hope and then fucking rip it away from two of them. - Also, why are they not doing the thing they did on Girls Planet? Have the mentors pick someone who they think has potential and give him a second chance. - Yuki should have gotten 52. I'm sorry but Ichan was a pretty awful vocalist and Yuki was much better in every way. If Danger G team had won the benefit (like they should have) then Yuki would have easily won this. Or maybe someone else from Danger G team. - Ichan, you better put in the work and prove that you deserve it! Because so far I'm not seeing it. I'll be keeping an eye on you. - This episode was three hours for us. Just imagine how long filming probably took. I feel so sorry for everyone in this room. Except the Mnet executives. Fuck the Mnet executives. - And guess what: we get to do all of this again in episode 8! Are you excited? Because I sure am not! - I hope they got a lunch break or something. So, I just wanna mention my personal Top 9 as it stands now after episode 5. This is in no particular order: Sung Hanbin Seok Matthew Kim Jiwoong Han Yujin Zhang Hao Jay Park Gunwook Haruto Yoon Jongwoo And a shoutout to those who are very close to making it into my top ranks. I'd be quite happy if any of those made it into the final lineup: Kim Gyuvin, Keita, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Yoo Seungeon, Park Hanbin and Na Kamden. And yes, I don't want Hui in the final group. I want him to go far and then return to his home, to Pentagon where he belongs and catapult them into the stratosphere. It's what they deserve.
