Heya,

I spent the last few days working on NPC-related event. And like every new stuff, I encountered some roadblocks and slow-down on the way. Not a big deal, of course, but as always I want to have a scalable system that I can apply to every NPC if need, and not hand-crafted events for one.

So, the first event that I created is a random accident. The idea is that some NPC will have a visual accident sometimes, which will change their dialogs; and may be linked to others events later one. Of course it will be a scarce event, not every NPC should have an accident every now and then. This event is currently working well, even if it occur a bit too often for my liking. 


The second event that I worked on is more story related. It allow me to direct an NPC more or less where I want and make it do customized actions. This will be really helpful in term of story content, since I can now make a key NPC move from his location, perform others actions and trigger stuffs.

That's it for now ! As usual, I spent a lot of time creating system's backbones but now I'm ready to iterate on it.
