Thanks for this wonderful journey.. Truly a goated show and i'm gonna miss it so much. We truly deserved a wholesome episode and it was actually perfectly fit right in the final episode. Can't wait for next season (heard it will be a banger). A true warrior needs no sword.

I agree with you on that point. I'm really looking forward to next season and I've heard that they said season 3 will come which makes me happy because I was afraid that season 2 would drop a lot of viewers. The wait will be worth it!

Btw that last sequence with the flashbacks of everyone's journey was top notch. We see everyone who are important and key to Thorfinn and now his journey starts. My man Askeladd made me tear-eyed

Vinland Saga is something special. Reading and watching this show is like nothing I've ever seen s1 and s2 are worlds apart and both crafted so well. I love this series and I'm happy to hear everyone's love of the show.

It's been fun watching you guys react to Vinland Saga, and I do think season 2 was far better than season 1 in terms of story writing. Season 1 was more about having us invest in character's backstory such as for Thorfinn and Askeladd, and without this investment, season 2 would not been as impactful. Also, there are more themes and symbolism that exist in season 2. A lesson we learned in season 2 is that "Anger begets more Anger" and the farm setting for this story represents growth which fitted well with Thorfinn's internal conflicts.

In regards to comparing episodes 23 & 24... I like to think of 23 being the final episode of the slave arc while 24 is more of an epilogue. I loved both for different reasons. 23 was powerful and emotional, while 24 was happy and satisfying.

season 1 will always be better in my book, season 2 might have better character development but it lacks intriguing element so in some moments i found it's hard to kept my interest, as an anime only watcher it's hard to keep your interest while u only watch it once a week and don't know what's gonna happen unlike manga readers, but that being said the ending was great, great way to end the season on a high note!

the berserk manga yeah but the anime is garbage terrible animation and terrible soundwork not worth watching it untill it gets reanimated

I knew it was something special while watching it but thought it may just be that it spoke to my experience/beliefs... but seeing you two reiterate so many of my exact feelings (about the show, the story, characters, music, OP/ED's, etc) was really validating.
