Vinland OP and ED slaps!! My top would be season 2 first OP and second OP and followed by season 1 first OP. Season 2 first ED is my favorite out of all ED's. This show is so visually stunning and I can literally just pause and stare at the art. The flying horse and the flying armed ladies were valkyries. They briefly explained it in S1 episode 11. Norsemen believed if they fought valiantly and died in battle, then the valkyries would chose them among the dead to go to Valhalla, Odin's home, were they would feast, fight and party till the end of the world. On this day, Ragnarok, they join the gods in battle against the giants and other enemies of the gods. That's why Thorkell and his guys were so eager to fight and didn't care for dying as long as it was in battle.

My favourit opening is opening 3 too. It features no action at all but manages to be visually breathtaking and engaging while at the same time perfectly conveying the themes of the arc. Plus the lyrics fit as well and the singer has an amazing voice.

Yeah River has the best visuals for me and probably the best song too, it's very soothing and intense at once, but I love the first song as well.

I have to separate OP and ED favorites sometimes because they give different vibes, and so, if I had to rank Vinland's it'd look like... Visual Favorites: OP4, OP3, OP1, OP2 | ED3, ED1, ED4, ED2 Musically Loved: OP4, OP1, OP3, OP2 | ED1, ED3, ED4, ED2 Loved Overall: OP4, OP3, OP1, OP2 | ED3, ED4, ED1, ED2 There's a trend here where VS OP2 and ED2 are my least favorite 😅 which is funny because I like both artists, Man with a Mission and Milet, but just not for this show it seems. Can I just add that, very surprisingly, I love Ange's OP3 cover the most. I feel it's the most simple in terms of composition out of all of the other covers, but it feels very soulful and the guitar melody with the drum beat fits the song so well. Maybe I just like sad and depressing music 😂 Cover for OP4 was amazing as well

For me my favorite is still OP 1 Mukanjyo and ending 2 Drown. Overall my list is OP1, OP4, OP3, OP2 and Ending 1, Ending 3, Ending 4, Ending 2

Oh yeah, River (S2 Op1) is one of the best OP's ever imho. I love it more every time I watch it. The ending after it too, chills. This entire season is MAPPA's best work by far to me.

I agree, VS has a high potential in making a good live-action series. The director has to be really good at interpreting and comprehending the original story, though!
