LOVED this show. I had never played the games myself, but I did know of important story beats from the the first game. As far as I'm concerned, this was probably the best video game adaptation I've ever seen. This episode is a bit controversial, but I ultimately think the ending is why this show is so good. The ambiguity of what is right or wrong is super integral to the ending of the first game. It's up to us to decide what was the right call, because at the end of the day, it is just a fictional story. I think I can understand both perspectives, because yes, I think Ellie probably would have decided to give her life for the many, but they didn't give her that option. It wasn't up for Joel or Marlene to decide, but I think Joel is in a particularly difficult situation. Does he lose another daughter for the sake of humanity? Or does he save the only person who was able to save him from the darkness of their world? Mind you, we don't even know if the surgery would work. I would like to think that if Ellie was presented with the option, and did choose to die, she would have been able to convince Joel that it was necessary. And if she chose to live, and the Fireflies were going to attempt to do it anyway, then Joel would do everything in his power to save her. Anyway, thanks for reading my ted talk.

You are right Ange, one of the nurses in the operating room was played by Abby's VA.

"It wasn't time that did it.." killed me.. 😭. Seems I am lucky to watch the show first and play the game afterwards. I didn't have the feeling that something was missing. And soon I can explore the infected a little more. 😉 Loved the show and absolutly adore Pedro and Bella. I already loved their roles in GoT, but this was something else.. ❤️

It might be worth mentioning that Joel and Tess's job was to get Ellie to the Boston Statehouse and hand her off to the Fireflies and nothing else. So, at the time there would be no reason to tell Joel about their future plans. Though it really was a huge miscalculation on her part to just assume Joel would go quietly when it was obvious how attached he was to Ellie now.

Yep, I share the same thoughts Gabriel! Definitely love the fact that the ending is thought provoking -A

the giraffe they used is actually real. I think they did use cgi for the body and a bit of the neck though. so like halfway through the neck and up to the head is all real
