Hello, fellow Pipers!

This week, in the Piper's diary, I'd like to talk about redefining the sequence and goals of our project.

As I mentioned before, I aimed to complete the music parts and prepare for voice actor auditions. But there was a crucial point I overlooked. Although the lyrics for the musical part were ready, the dialogue for the animation part might change depending on the direction.

Here's how the correct project workflow will go 👉

1. Create the animatic for the musical part according to the composed demo music.
2. Record the script for the animation part in my voice.
3. Complete the animatic for the animation part.
4. Deliver the fully edited video and the revised script to the voice actors.

The only issue I faced was my fear of starting to draw things again... but to overcome this fear, I'm considering slightly altering the project's goals. Our previous aim in Pipers was 'growth.' Every animatic project was an opportunity to study and improve by learning new things. However, at this final stage of this project, where there are TOO many things to learn, I think it's essential to utilize what I've already learned rather than constantly learning new things. Let's make the most out of what we have, easily and with enjoyment! That's the new goal moving forward.

I'm still a bit anxious about drawing a lot, but I'm slowly rediscovering the fun in it. My goal by next week, November 30th, is to gather and review the storyboards for the musical part.

안녕하세요 동료 파이퍼즈 여러분!

이번주 다이어리는 작품의 순서와 목표를 다시 잡아내는 이야기를 해보려고해요.

지난번에 말씀드렸던것 처럼 음원 완성을 목표로 두고 성우 오디션을 준비하기 위해 다양한 사례들을 조사했어요. 하지만 제가 간과한 사실이 있었답니다.

그건 바로 뮤지컬 파트의 가사는 다 준비되어 있는 상황이었지만, 연출에 따라 애니메이션 파트의 대사가 바뀔 소지가 있었기 때문이에요.

대략적으로 성우 분을 섭외할 때는 작품정보와 원하는 성별, 캐릭터 등을 전달하고, 정해진 스크립트길이에 맞춰서 페이를 드리는 방법을 사용해요(A4용지 장당, 혹은 글자수 당 얼마씩 책정하는 방식) 

그리고 애니메이션 스튜디오에서는 미리 감독이나 스토리보더가 녹음한 음원으로 애니메틱을 만들어 성우분들이 참고해서 녹음할 수 있도록 바탕을 만들어준다고 합니다. 더 정확한 커뮤니케이션을 위해서 말이죠!

따라서 프로젝트의 올바른 작업 순서는 이렇게 진행될 것 같아요👉

 1.  작곡된 데모 음원에 맞춰 뮤지컬 파트 애니메틱을 완성 

 2.  애니메이션 파트 스크립트를 내 목소리로 가녹음

 3.  애니메이션 파트 애니메틱을 완성

 4.  총 편집된 영상과 수정사항이 반영된 스크립트를 성우분들께 전달 

단지 문제가 있다면 아직 다시 그림을 그리는게 두려워서 선뜻 연출 작업을 시작하지 못하는 것 이였는데요, 이런 두려움을 해소하기 위해서 프로젝트의 목표를 조금 바꿔보려고 해요. 

그동안의 파이퍼즈의 목적은 '성장' 이었습니다. 한 애니메틱, 한 프로젝트를 진행할때마다 새로운 사실들을 공부하고 익혀서 실력을 향상시키는 것이 목표였거든요. 하지만 공부해야할게 너무나도 많아져버린 이 마지막 프로젝트 단계에서는, 새로 쌓기보다는 그동안 공부한 것들을 활용하는 방법을 사용해야 할 것 같아요. 갖고 있는 것을 최대한 쉽고, 재미있게 활용해보기! 이것이 앞으로의 새로운 목표입니다.

아직 그림을 많이 그려나가기는 조금 두렵지만, 조금씩 다시 재미를 붙여나가고 있습니다. 

다음주 11월 30일까지, 뮤지컬 파트 스토리보드를 다시 한 번 모아보는 것을 목표로 나아가보겠습니다!
