Edit: the beta is out, become a second level membership and you'll get access to it. Thanks in advance for your support!!
This is what the earlier pototype of the boxy shroud turned into, I present to you the SaturnOrbiter, dual 5015 like the MarsOrbiter, but laid-out differently
Still has a few things that needs tweaking, but otherwise functional and better in everyway compared to the MarsOrbiter
If you want to be an early tested/adopter/input giver, support me here (second tier and up), this will be incrementally released (in regard to hotend support and later mounting plates) very soon.
Key point:
- stock hotend, Phaetus Rapido HF, Dragon, Dragonfly BMO/BMS, E3d V6
- dual 5015s
- both fans pointing down, for even better airflow
- Easy to print, no print support
- heat inserts
- Open, yet hidden cable routes, thanks to a thin roof cover (so if your fans are connected to the board, you can route it without ever disconnecting or cut/soldering, or oversized fan connector
- Overall rigidity taken to the next level as if glued in place
- Will be made compatible with Orbiter 1.5, & Orbiter 2.0, sherpa mini and BMG
- swappable probes, starting with bltouch/crtouch (will eventually make 12mm and 18mm probes)
- Separately printed air duct outputs, initially a small inconvenience meant to simplify the printing, but it can also be turned into an advantage like alternative version for instance made taller depending on hotends (like volcano)
- m3 screws to hold the fans in place (using a simple printed spacer I made to reduce the fan mounting hole size ), allows for smaller heat insert than M4 type.
- hidden ADXL345 (fits for the generic version, just need to bend pins carefully), and should work for the adafruit as well.
