2023-05-20 17:12:09 I'm glad you watched this movie like you did, Nerdy :) Your reactions were VERY enjoyable! So I was thinking about some of your complaints, and I think I might have a few ideas on how to answer some stuff. Not that it makes the movie any better, but it might answer some of your questions. One of the things I have noticed about modern day movies is that they're all Saturday Morning Cartoons. Characters don't seem to have character arcs anymore. The Super Mario Brothers movie didn't have any, Aquaman didn't have any, this movie ... they're just big ol' cartoons that are fun to watch sometimes. Not that it makes them better, they just ... are what they are. But the thing about Kang is that he's NOT actually a "thanos" in power. Claruse got it 100% right, he has superior technology that makes it seem like he's powerful. But as you saw, strip it away, and it's just Johnathan Major's massive biceps against Paul Rudd's face. The movie also suffered from needing another 6 months in Post to get all the special effects finished. You're right in that some scenes are just -- ug. Unfinished looking. But I still love watching janky ass looking 80's cartoons, so who am I to judge? lol

Glad I watched this again just to confirm my initial thoughts. Disappointing is about the best I can say. Your criticism just validated my own feelings. I like all these characters, really liked the first two movies and have no plans to ever watch this again.
