You officially went down the first drop on the roller coaster that is the Expanse. BTW that 0g maneuver would work in RL. Scuttling is a naval term. In naval battles you didn't sink an enemy ship, you disabled it, captured it, then repaired it, and added it to your fleet. Even up until WW2 ships were scuttled to keep the enemy from capturing and repairing the main structure. Awesome stuff guys! There will also be a bunch of typical Hollywood space tropes that this show loves to correct. Like how all of the air wasn't immediately sucked out by 2 samllish holes along with the people in the room (Alien gets it wrong unfortunately.)

Telltale is making an Expanse game, but it's set after at least season 3 so don't look into it yet.

"Humans have a weird obsession about what happens to their bodies when they're done!" 1000% agree, can't say I've ever understood it. When I pass they can go ahead and cremate me or make me fertilizer all they want. A grave, casket, and tombstone is completely unnecessary.

Shawn Anomaly

Besides that topic, awesome reaction! It was an absolute blast watching you two finally come across this episode! I agree with you two that the episode felt like a season finale (hell better than many season finales) and that's just 1x4! There's going to be so many more episodes that feel this way! Buckle up because the answers are coming and so is the madness!

Loved this! It's been a while for me and re-watching this with you was like day 1 all over again.

So, iirc, this story did start out as a ttrpg, that the GM and one of the players decided to turn into a books series, so this comment is very apropos.

I just discovered you guys when you posted episode one. You are doing a great job & I love your reactions. You are right as everything is intentional. Everything mentioned means something and it may be a season or later than it is revealed. Just so you know that the first book goes to Season 2 episode 5. That episode will feel like a season finale.

The Telltale game is actually a prequel to the show, and set prior to Season 1. But yeah, I still agree that it'd be best to wait before checking out the trailer because it would reveal a character not yet introduced as of this episode.

The only reason I disagree is because I briefly dabbled in Geneology, and tombstones are super helpful when trying to find your family line. I get what you mean though.

I have just joined your Patreon in appreciation for your doing The Expanse.

Me too - new Patron for this show. (But I'm also enjoying Vox Machina, The Last of Us, and anything Star Wars) You're in for a fun ride. If no one has mentioned it yet - Book 1 of the series spans season 1 and part of season 2 of the show. So, some of the closure and answers you want might not come until next season.

The only thing that sucks about you both reacting to this show is having to wait so damn long for more episodes and getting up to season 3

This show will help you learn your solar systems “geography”?
