Kat

Woo I'm so early!!

Savitar

which hair are you getting cut?

Christopher Bouzas

I can’t remember which episode it is, but it shows a drawing of Kyle and Rogelio children in one of their lockers

JHB

I think it's about 2 episodes from now that the changes to the opening start coming in, and more than one change this season.

Sekiro

Sooooooo, you like Catra again, Moscy-Woscy?😏😏😏😏😏

Christopher Bouzas

You can see glimpses of the new she-ra in the reflections of the crystals when she taps into her power

JHB

When the Best Friend Squad had some strains in the relationship, Bow was always been the one who worked at pulling everyone back together. He was always the first one to let something roll off his back. So what happens when something hits so hard he can't simply let it go? When simply hearing an "I'm sorry" just isn't enough? What are HIS feelings worth -- what is HE worth -- if he lets it go before he's ready to? All of his reflexes show he's just dying for things to go back the way they were, but he just needs Glimmer to really reach out, and by the end of the episode, she gave him what he needed.

Kayla Ryan

Why do we have to wait a week for save the cat :c so can't wait

Omegastar

S3E4 'Moment of Truth', when Scorpia tries to stop the two Crimson Waste goons from taking stuff from the lockers, there is an easter egg where we can see the inside of a locker for a split second, and if you pause the episode at the right moment you can see the following stuff taped to the inside of the locker: 1) A photo of a brightly smiling Kyle with hearts surrounding it. 2) A drawing of a bunch of children that look like Kyle/Rogelio hybrids. 3) The letters 'R' and 'K' with a HUGE heart in between. The implication is that it is Rogelio's locker.

Peluche

Your hair is v cute short and longer!! :) also holy crap I can't wait to see you react to the next episode and everything after ;-; it's so good. It's ttoally worth the binge watch hahaha

Peluche

totally**

Tabatha Cat

I find it interesting that Bow, the friendship guy, who agonized about the separation from Glimmer, doesn’t forgive her right away, until she reaches out to him. Meanwhile Adora, who was so angy with Glimmer beforehand and wouldn’t talk to her, forgives her without the slightest hesitation.

Tabatha Cat

This was the episode where I began to like Swift Wind.

Anonymous

“Is there going to be a Hordak and Entrapta reunion of some description?” Well I suppose an apt description of such an oncoming event would be…wrong.

Jenny D

Yeah, as much fun as this episode is, I’m just so hyped for the next one! Aka the Hercules episode!

David Johnson

"...and then she pulled out..." Yeah, I think that *is* sultry for Entrapta...

David Johnson

"Could you warn me?" Okay. Warning: Many of the remaining episodes of She-Ra will have stressful scenes...;)

Omegastar

Bow's anger at Glimmer doesn't come out of nowhere. It's not just that Glimmer was wrong about the Heart of Etheria, its the way she's been treating him. Bow has been there for Glimmer for the entirety of the show. Every season he has always been supportive of her. But for all the support he has offered her, Glimmer never really did the same for him. And that was...okay, as long as they were on the same line. But the moment he stood up to Glimmer, her reaction was to take it personally and retaliate by essentially grounding Bow. Furthermore, an 'okay' relationship kinda has a time-limit, especially with how one-sided it was becoming. At some point something had to change. Emotion-wise, Bow has been carrying the team on his shoulders the entire show, but eventually he reaches his own limit in S4E8 'Boys Night Out' where he has a huge breakdown, and he hasn't really recovered since that, as shown by his breakdown in the previous episode. Adora actually responds to this, as she's become noticeably more supportive of him since 'Boys Night Out'. But Glimmer on the other hand proceeded to treat Bow like a servant, not a friend. Bow doesn't want to go back to the one-sided friendship they used to have, so he is justified in not allowing a simple apology from Glimmer to fix things.

Mahlernut

Great episode for so many reasons. We have Adora at her most lady-like, and some great stuff from Entrapta. "How many of you ARE there?" "Several!"

David Johnson

BTW, Adora holding up the cave entrance is one of my favorite scenes in the series.

Mahlernut

Long separation and moments of clarity, I figure. Friends can often forgive pretty easily when they're both on the same page, and I think Adora desperately wanted to reconcile the same as Glimmer. For others...realizing that things are maybe more complex than they'd thought can throw a lot of monkey wrenches into the works.

Catradora fan

The Star Siblings were from the original She Ra Jewlstar is trans and voiced by a trans actor Tallstar is the same voice as Ahsoka Tano from Clone Wars If Catra's "just a friend" why is Adora gay panicking? Hmm suspicious... 🤔🤨🧐

Catradora fan

Next episode Luz and King teach us how to write Wait...

Tabatha Cat

I love that opening shot of Bow, Glimmer, and Adora together, with Glimmer and Adora sitting intimately close, and Bow sitting well off to the side, standoffish. It conveys so much.

Tabatha Cat

Yeah. This episode is good, but it has the disadvantage of being sandwiched between two great episodes.

Blue Eons

I won’t survive the wait for the next episode I can’t do it

Michelle

As much as I really don’t want to wait for the next reaction it does fall on my birthday so I have 2 things to look forward to

Omegastar

Its also more in character for Adora to easily forgive. Adora is a forgiving person. Bow, on the other hand, is all about emotional maturity. He takes his friendships seriously, so when a deep and long-lasting friendship gets damaged like that, a simple 'sorry' doesn't cut it for him.

Profesor Pomelo

To be fair, Glimmer did follow the exact pattern as Catra: trusting Shadow Weaver and Double Trouble, pushing her friends away, and almost destroying Etheria. At least now, they both know they were wrong.

Ryan Porter

Oh, we're all excited for your reaction to the next episode. Hamish is waterproof, right? No, Entrapta definitely meant "quality time" in that way ;) Mosco: "For fuck's sake, I hate this show! I hate this show!" ND: "More?" Mosco: "PLEASE!" You want a warning? Here it is; vacuum the floor around your desk before you do your next She-ra reaction.

FilmCritMaybe

Gonna keep this as vague as possible in case Mosco reads the comments: If this is her reaction to Episode FOUR.....

Tammy Ragsdale

About what is going on with Glimmer's magic, she has to be on a planet that has magic on it. It won't work in space or on planets with no magic. The princesses are more powerful then others because they also channel it through their stones. Entrapta, who doesn't have a stone doesn't use magic and relies on tech instead.

Mahlernut

Little details I always forget, like how well they animated Adora's sequence of emotions when Glimmer says "she said she was doing it for you." Surprise, anger, emotional exhaustion, and a look that feels to me like this uncertain "do I have it in me to give it one last try?" Also, for someone who says she's not good with people, Entrapta really captures that certain something about Bow and Adora in the spacesuits she somehow made for them. :D

Joey Quixote

I absolutely love the Bow & Glimmer angst in this. Not that it's happening, but the resolution. Other shows would have taken their reunion as the perfect opportunity to forgive and forget. Or any one single grand gesture to save the friendship. But the way it's handled here is incredibly mature. Glimmer admitting her fault, apologizing, and recognizing Bow's right to be angry. And that she'll continue to try to right things between them, and will be there when Bow is ready. And Bow accepting this. He doesn't want to be mad at her, friends never do. But it's important to give these things time, patience, and understanding.

SweetCandle

Dartrapta? Wait, can you ship an actual ship?

Mahlernut

Vehicles are definitely fair game. Otherwise, how could we have the Knight Rider KITTelhoff ship?

Mahlernut

Bow definitely has the dad energy that only having two dads can give you. :D

Dinker

'the power tools.' (Yes I said the quiet part out loud.)

Jenny D

Swift Wind’s Mermista impression may be the most accurate, but I’m always the most entertained by his Shadow Weaver impression! (That could just be because I enjoy seeing her get roasted as much as possible.)

Jenny D

“You know what? It's not easy being the friendly and upbeat guy all the time. And I get that it's hard being friends sometimes. You gotta work at it. ...So why am I always the only one who's willing to work at it? I mean...they didn't even notice I'm gone. ...Do whatever you want. I don't care. It's terrible being friends with friends.” - Bow, 4x08 Boys’ Night Out Bow’s mad because of the way Glimmer treated him and Adora the last time they saw her. She didn’t trust them, she believed she knew better than them even though she wasn’t there to hear Mara’s message.

Jenny D

I’m actually really surprised that you’re on Glimmer’s side in this, given how mad you’ve been at Catra. I’ve personally always been on Adora’s and Bow’s sides in these conflicts. Sure, Glimmer thought she was doing the right thing to help her people and was trying to win the war. Catra was also trying to win the war when she pulled the lever. Catra and Glimmer were both presented with evidence by their closest friends that going forward with their plans would lead to the destruction of the planet (no one knew Light Hope was going to take Etheria out of Despondos and destroy the universe) and both of them ignored those warnings because they believed they knew best, and they were both wrong. And sure, Glimmer’s intentions were purer than Catra’s, but Catra didn’t believe she was being evil. While Catra was less brainwashed than Adora growing up, she was still raised entirely on Horde propaganda. In her mind both sides of the war are equally bad, so she stuck with the devil she knew, and that she knew how to survive within. As for their friendships, some of the things Glimmer said to Adora in season 4 were just as bad as some of the things Catra has said to Scorpia. I think the reason Adora was able to forgive Glimmer more easily than Bow was able to is because Bow is a more emotional person. Like Adora said, she’s the “punch your feelings out” guy.

Jenny D

Mosco: It’s only 4pm. I could maybe do it today? Light Hope: Don’t— Hope: Do it.

Jenny D

I’ve never caught that but now I’m definitely gonna listen for it!

Jenny D

And I believe the reason Adora was able to use magic to create that tunnel is because She-ra’s runestone is said to be portable. But even though we see the stone in the hilt of the First One’s sword, I feel like once Mara and then Adora connected with it the power transferred from the stone to them. That or Adora packed up those broken sword pieces and brought them with her. 🤷‍♀️

Jenny D

Bow needs a heart on his chest and a window for his abs, and Adora needs a hole for her ponytail that somehow won’t leak air.

Mahlernut

To be fair, Entrapta had two holes in her helmet. Come to think of it, it would've been hilarious if her suit had included space-suit arms for her hair, complete with morphing gloves. :D Adora's pony-tail power...Bow's ab power...certain other characters and their helmets that might or might not be the best thing ever... Entrapta really does see all, whether or not the person in question understands.

Mahlernut

I mean, Entrapta IS the one who uses "You're very technologically advanced" as a pick-up line. And what better way to...investigate...your partner's advanced technology than with power tools? Just remember not to kink shame her :D

Mahlernut

One of those totally random Entrapta-isms that totally crack me up. Kinda like that bit in the Fright Zone a million years ago when Perfuma's like "Where've you BEEN?" and Entrapta just responds...maybe not even totally realizing she's responding to a question...with "Where have YOU been?" :D

Ryan Porter

It ain't kink shaming, it's kink appreciating. Just remember when to boot in "safe mode"...

Mahlernut

LOL And always ground yourself before touching sensitive equipment! Come to think of it, her hair must hold one HELL of a static charge in dry weather...

Mahlernut

The animation works great with it too...the way Shadow Weaver's moving while saying "Magic Magic Magic Blah blah blah...blah" kills me. Heh..."Bad Shadow Weaver! Bad!"

Jenny D

As a fellow autistic person I can attest that a common trait among us is having a high attention to detail. We also tend to miss big picture things, and I feel like Entrapta is a great representation of both!

Mahlernut

I love that they were aware enough in writing her character to make that recognizable.

Verdigree

I don’t really think Bow is being harsh, Glimmer would have fully destroyed not only the planet, but allowed it to destroy the whole universe

MoscoMoon

I suppose I should try and see both PoV with this relationship and see the one-sidedness since thats all I harper on about with Catra and Adora, I do think this show is something thats difficult to fully understand from just 1 watch, and on my current behind the scenes rewatch I'm already picking up a lot of things I didn't the first time. For me I could understand why Glimmer made her choices because she's trying to do whats best for her whole planet, she's the Queen and has been put in that position with (what looks like) very little training. She's too young to have as much to worry about as she does, so I couldn't fully condemn her and her decisions the way I did with Catra, since she never really wanted to hurt anyone. But looking at it purely from Bow's situation you do raise a lot of very strong points.

MoscoMoon

The big difference is that Glimmer wouldn't have done it if she knew she would physically hurt people. Catra knew she was going to hurt people, and even physically hurt them (Entrapta) to get the thing done. I don't think we can really compare the 2, Glimmer is Queen and is in an impossible to face position trying to keep her people safe while at war, Catra acted out of selfish reasons and spite.

Profesor Pomelo

During a Twitch livestream, ND confirmed that Entrapta has *lots* of robot boyfriends and girlfriends.

Omegastar

Ah, but you are forgetting what Madame Razz said: "She-Ra is not a sword, She-Ra is you". I think its helpful to see She-Ra as an entity that exists independently from anything. The First Ones somehow bound that entity to the sword, but when Adora broke the sword it freed the entity, which then bonded itself to Adora, so Adora can connect with the entity anywhere.

Willow Arkan

Agree. Imo the runestones don't grant power as much as they are conduits the first ones used to harness aspects of Aetheria's magic and then bind it to a specific genetic line, with one primary user at a time, glimmer pre Angela's death was kind of a minor user, like Shadow Weaver, who had to keep recharging. I wouldn't be surprised if the original princesses were positions instituted by the first ones, filled either with loyal Aetherians or like She-Ra given to first ones officers. So breaking She-Ra's runestone, the sword, disconnected She-Ra the entity from only first ones users, but Adora was already suitable as a She-Ra. On the other hand I suspect the runestones' breaking would allow their magic aspects to run free again, since those don't seem to be entities in the same way as the guardian spirit.

Willow Arkan

There was this whole thing back in the day about dinosaurs X cars, so this seems way less weird, Darla can at least talk

Willow Arkan

Plus Bow has been the one to work on their relationship, he always put in effort and by the end of season 4 was at the end of his rope always being the only one. So now she has to work harder to gain back what she squandered with him.

Mahlernut

It'll be hard for him to accept that he's doomed to be the Bringer of the Dad Jokes. First he'll realize that he understands them...then he'll start to find them funny. Before long, children in his vicinity will instinctively roll their eyes at him so hard that HIS eyes will roll into the back of his head.

Anonymous

But Bow, her best friend in the whole world, DID tell her it was going to hurt people. Both him and Adora told her that it would literally destroy the planet but she decided on her own that it was worth the risk to get what she wanted. I love Glimmer and was so happy that they finally made up because best friend squad forever but she really messed up. And Bow isn't under any obligation to forgive her right away just because he also misses her. Like, she almost killed everyone he loved lol. Edit: Also, Adora and Glimmer's relationship is very new by comparison. And I like to imagine that, having dealt with Catra and the rest of the Horde her whole life, Adora is unfortunately more experienced in having to overlook and forgive things. This is really the first time in their friendship that Bow has had Glimmer COMPLETELY dismiss his feelings and not even try to hear him out. That takes time to heal.

Vex Valor

Fun fact: Jewel Star (the brother) is trans and is played by a trans voice actor. In the original series, the Star Siblings were the Star Sisters and in the reboot, they made Jewel Star a trans man. I really love these characters and wish we had gotten more time to spend with them. As for Bow's anger, I feel it was more to Glimmer not listening to her friends and not wanting to save Entrapta. If they hadn't had gone, Entrapta AND Micah would have still been trapped on Beast Island.
