That clan birth mother however was given a harsh awakening as from my raised hand came my astral spell and with a mental flex of effort the golden reflection of Venus shot forward smashing into the charging spider in its frontal area and the force of the minature planet was great enough to break its back legs as under my will I had the planetoid smash into its head and smash its front area in the ground.

'Spider begone!' I thought as I clenched my outfacing hand and the reflection of Venus violently exploded like a large mortar going off with the front head portion of the spider being reduced to bloody mist along with the rest of its body being blasted outwards in bloody chunks.

"Ugh! Jake! You killed the spider queen!" Furina yelled out and I looked at her with confusion as she stomped her feet petulantly in the ground in anger.

"Furina has been wanting to get some actually ranked monsters. But the Raiden siblings wouldn't let her run off to go drown the monsters in her water spell." Lalatina helpfully threw out there.

To which my face twitched as I snapped out. "And you couldn't just tell me? I wouldn't mind just let us know alright." I said more chill at the end but still I was a little annoyed with how bratty she was being.

And in response, Furina just threw me a dirty look as she refocused on the grim task of drowning the unranked spiders that her other water summons crippled or my own Heavy Water version of the water shield smashed into.

'I hope she can't drown people and get their abilities or magic... That would make her a very big target and hell I wouldn't even feel safe around her to be honest.' I thought as I pushed down the instinctual disgust at seeing the spiders thrashing around as they were drowned to death in Furina's glowing light blue waters that absorbed their souls.

Once Furina was finished we began collecting materials from the monsters we slayed. In particular, I went to the clan mother and pulled out its web-spinning organs before tossing them into my storage ring along with the spider's fangs as they could be turned into low-tier daggers, needles, or be refined and condensed into somewhat higher-end arrows.

"Lets go check the spider nest, its likely there will be a lot of spider silk for us to collect and spiders clans are well known hoarders who will keep the treasures of things they cannot digest in piles outside their nests to act as bait." Keqing spoke and I nodded with Lalatina and Furina both grimacing at going to the nest.

But we made our way towards the spider nest without event until we reached it and then Furina used her water summons to clear out the hoards of a couple hundred of tiny spiders that were only the size of a fist from a distance.

The so-called treasure pile though was actually some low-end herbs, clothes, and mostly horns and teeth from the monsters that the spiders had managed to take down in the plains area but we couldn't get into the spider nest properly as it went underground... And not even Keqing with her stoic demeanor dared to climb into a small dark cave filled with probably hundreds if not thousands of spiders and their fellow eggs.

So once we collected the herbs and monster parts we wanted, Keqing started a dense brush fire with her lightning and I blew up the spider cave hole to partially block it off so that the others could lit up the piles of clothes, dead wood, and debris that we threw over the partially collapsed hole.

All so that the spider nest would hopefully get smoked out if not have all the air burnt away so that any spiders inside the nest would die. As the clothes we found we obviously the remains of low-tier adventurers and gatherers who got snatched while camping outside the safety of the walls.

But as we were checking out the remains of the... Well human remains I found something and made a noise. "Hey Keqing, found a map and it seems to belong to a gather that worked for the Dimitris family with notes on a misty iron mine on the edge of the forest that the gather noted down?"

The Dimitris family was a family of high-end designers who made adventurer clothes fashionable and durable while also being involved in cosmetics and some medicine... They were also the family that Sylas was part of, with Sylas being that fuckwit who said I was going to rely on a magic tool to kill that Merman during the coming-of-age test the Raiden Siblings hosted.

Keqing raised an eyebrow as she took the map and after a moment she nodded and said with a small smile. "Misty Iron is often the nesting site of metal-eating beetles which are all Soldier-tier monsters or even Commander-tier monsters at their peak... This would be an amazing way to start our resource collection especially if Furina is able to get a couple of their souls to use the Metal-Eating Beetles to act as our miners."

And Furina's eyes lip up as she made an "Oh Hoho!" With her continuing with a smug smile. "Yes, I suppose I can have my eternal servants do some labor if you all... Need my help so much!"

Before I could snap and bend her over for a spanking in correction Furina cried out in agony as Keqing snapped forward and with a harsh cracking noise, she smashed that metal soup ladle into her Furina's head.

"Owwiee! Keqing that hurt!" Furina whimpered as she held her head and looked up at me and Lalatina for support.

And like any parent seeing the bratty child getting the rightfully earned ass whooping I just looked away as I said "Lets get going Lalatina."
