Gamer Chapter 36 (Patreon)

With a whole damned week to just sit on our asses, I took the time to for one take apart that barbarian's armor that had a Primordial Rune engraved upon it with Arianna's help. And it was an interesting process. As I had the Gamer ability even if it was nerfed to hell and back with magic itself being barred from me for the most part.
But the bullshit crafting I could get up to as a Gamer wasn't nerfed at all. So with unseen ability and wisdom, I partook in the knowledge of what the Primordial Rune was engraved into the armor and gained an understanding of it.
The Primordial Rune itself, was the word and symbol for 'Bear' and in creating the Primordial Rune, whenever this armor was engraved and the Primordial Rune gained eternal life, I knew that the great bear had its lifeblood split and drawn into the engravings while the soul of the bear was inlaid into the rune itself to fuel it so long as the soul existed.
And seeing as souls are all but eternal things... That meant that the Primordial Rune would exist in perpetuity basically as souls never extinguished themselves unless put under extreme stress or physically destroyed.
So in essence, as I translated and found understanding in the Bear Primordial Rune, I could follow the same method of engraving a bears soul into a strength-based weapon or armor to take advantage of the bear totem ability.
The only issue was that no matter how much I studied the bear rune, I gained no other wisdom on other Primordial Rune and Arianna very clearly told me that fucking about with Primordial Runes if I didn't know what I was doing would lead to my soul being torn apart as the ritual to empower the rune failed and the rune would instead devour my own soul to fuel it.
"Well... If I find a fuck load of bears or monster bears I can do a ritual to bless some of my previous runic weapons." I muttered as I popped my neck as I sat up straight and looked over at Kiyohime who was rolled up in a ball on a pillow nest that was in front of the hearth fire that was in the center of the wooden cabin,
For the last week, we had been staying in this three-roomed long house that was heated by the large fire pit line that was in the center of the long house with two bedrooms on the side of the longhouse where my girls and I slept, and the other bedroom was where the previous chieftain's daughter was sleeping after we made it firm that I wasn't going to be putting babies into anyone.
Taking in the occupants of the building's main room I saw Yuki was napping on a long padded couch well away from the fire's heat while conversely, Arianna was sitting close to the fire to keep warm as she had none of our cold resistances.
But with the frigid winter and all of us being forced to remain together besides Yuki and I getting some firewood for the women of the village who no longer had any husbands and sons to do that chore. I mostly spent my time besides working on my gear speaking with Arianna and Kiyohime.
I walked over to Arianna and her closed eyes snapped open as I sat down beside hers couch in a chair I took out of my inventory and I spoke softly. "Well, Yuki is off being a nurse for a woman who came down with a lung issue, and Kiyohime is off in her own world hugging her dragon pearl. I am not intruding am I?" I asked almost teasingly making Arianna snort lightly.
"Whatcha want to talk about?" She asked mumbling slightly as she rolled from her side onto her back so I could meet her eyes.
After a moment I decided to ask something that had always kinda bugged me a bit. "So were you raised by your Fallen father or something?"
Arianna's body went still and she visibly shuddered before saying flatly. "No... Just as dear old mommy dearest feather brain didn't care to raise me and dropped me off on my father's front fucking porch... He likewise dropped me off on the porch of an old couple who lost their grandchild a few years before they got me."
My lips twitched as Arianna's voice actually raised as she all but ranted. "I swear to fucking god I need royalties from Harry Potter. As I was literally dropped on my father's door step by the Northern wind a literal god and then when my dad saw me and knew I would cramp his style. He just threw me at some old grandparents with empty nest syndrome! But,,, They were good parents honestly and I love them for that."
I patted Arianna's head softly as I said gently. "Then take those feelings and become the best mother you can if you ever get the opportunity... But either way, is your Fallen status why you never went to Camp Halfblood or something?" I asked with some confusion.
And for a moment Arianna didn't answer and I saw that her stormy grey eyes were awash with something before she sighed and said flatly. "Yeah... The Greeks don't want their demigod brats asking questions or even making contact with other factions. Though they don't bother to hide it anymore after Evil Pieces came about as they know that some Devils could give the Demi-gods far better lives away from their grasp."
I didn't really have an answer for that and neither did Arianna continue leaving us in a moment of silence as we watched the fire in front of us.
The silence however was broken as she slowly sat up with a grunt of effort as shrugged her shoulders her fallen angel wings popped out with the white owl feathers breaking apart the beautiful black of her wings.
And I smiled with Arianna snorting as snow-white glowing wings that reflected off the fires light popped out of my back as I activated my projection wings and I made my silvery pure angel wing caress her own wing.
"You lewd little degenerate... Jake if you play with that weird spell with a pure fallen they would do great and terrible things to you." She whispered with a lidded look as her hand caressed my angel wings.
"Oh is the evil fallen going to despoil this poor mortal king into her web of depravity?" I teased jokingly making Arianna roll her eyes.
From there I made a humming noise and said. "Well, I am going to go check on Yuki. You be a good girl for now Aria." I whispered at the end and she visibly flushed as I hit her in her slight masochistic praise kink that I had learned about while we been staying together and learning the ways of the Primordial Rune.
Walking away from the now pouting Arianna I saw Kiyohime was in a deep sleep as she was rolled up in a ball close to the fire with her dragon pearl clasped in her hands that was just below her face as she laid on her side. So I didn't bug her and left the toasty longhouse to go outside with to take a breath of cold fresh air.
Even with my divine blessing agaisnt ice though, the icy winds of the Neverwinter here in this realm had such a biting cold howling blizzard that Kiyohime and I didn't want to handle it all. And Arianna literally couldn't handle it for long as she was just a two-winged fallen angel.
Yuki on the other hand... She had no problems with the howling blizzard at all as she had some kind of snow sonar or something that could bounce through the snow so she could 'see' stuff through the ever-present blizzard that was only now dying off as season changed towards spring for the week and then we would have the 'True' Spring where everything violently comes back to life in the week after that.
So basically I had a good couple of months to take over this realm before another divine winter came about. But in reality, I really wanted to be done with this place within a couple weeks like the Gumiho realm. As I had my kitsune back home and I didn't want to leave them and Sally alone for months on end.
'I have no idea how Sally makes blue coffee of all things... But it is suprisingly good, and I can't help but wonder if she could make blue hot chocolate.' I thought with a smile as I followed the obvious tracks of Yuki's boots as she went towards one of the houses nearby to treat some people.
It being obvious due to how thick the snow was and how her passage left a gaping wide path through the meter plus tall snow.
After tracking Yuki down I waited outside the house we was working in until she was done and she came out. As she came out of the house and I could feel her footsteps gaining some speed as her etheral chuckle broke through the thickly and blindly snow. "Hmm my husband is waiting for me to finish my work, thank you for waiting darling." She whispered making me smile even if we coudn't see one another in the swirling snow.
Our hands came together as Yuki took my hand and then we walked to our little home away from home with our hands intertwined. Our fingers interlaced with the others and I could feel her gently rubbing her thumb on the sides of my hand.
Yuki was a most interesting woman honestly. She was a stone-cold mercenary when she needed to be, when she was on a job. But when it was just the family or just ourselves she melted into a puddle of affection that she didn't feel embarrassed at all about showing.
"This snow reminds me of the Yuki-Onna sanctuaries of Japan. In time I would like for you to come see my home when you have your responsibilities in New York wrapped up." She whispered through the wind and I squeezed her hand in silent agreement.
Without saying anything as we reached the longhouse we been previously staying within, Yuki molded her internal mana and an ice igloo rose up from meter and a half thick snow pile around us with a long bench forming at hip height that was also made out of ice.
"What's on your mind Yuki?" I asked gently after I pulled her into my arms once I finished throwing a couple of pillows and blankets over the bench.
Yuki's voice was rather soft as she spoke. "We wasted a good week here... But I enjoyed having such time with you. That didn't need us fighting every few hours at least."
I smiled wryly as our romance was, to say the least unusual, as our romance bloomed from her comforting me when I performed genocide on the Gumiho. And likewise with her being a lonely woman who wanted a man to take charge and not be a stuttering mess.
We shared our body heat as we just hugged one another and silently for a good while until Yuki slowly asked in a whisper. "Jake, do you love me?"
I was stunned for a moment and her pale blue eyes looked up at me from where she was resting her head agaisnt my chest and I raised a hand and gently placed in on her cheek as I stated with zero hesitation. "Yes Yuki. I love you as any husband should love their wife. I love your voice, I love spending time with you, and I love your relaxed personality."
There was a moment as we made eye contact before Yuki smiled and she leaned forward and her cool lips gently kissed mine. With the kiss being held for a long second and then she broke the kiss to lean back to whisper. "Good... Because I am ready Jake, I am ready to expand this family whenever your seed takes root."
"When that time comes... I will be ready." I said after taking a breath while I was thinking. 'Well, I have been busy being intimate with Yuki and Amagi, both of them are women who clearly want more children so thankfully I am already mentally ready for it.'
Yuki gently laid her head on my chest with her eyes closing as her hands wrapped around my chest. And as she rested her head there I began brushing my hand through her long silver hair as we just listened to the sounds of the of the rushing blizzard winds outside. Until finally I broke the silence after a good bit saying. "Alright Yuki, lets get back inside lest Kiyohime tries to burn away the blizzard in trying to find us."
She snorted at my words but she still got up from our position of cuddling with her only grumbling under her breath. "I like this cold with you though."
Yuki collapsed the ice igloo after we left it and then we went into the Longhouse proper to rejoin our friends with Yuki going over to Arianna to discuss some things while I went over by the fire next to Kiyohime to get all the snow off myself and then snuggle with my slightly overpossive dragon.
