Great reaction to a classic movie. The movie was technically not conceived as a "horror" movie, since the term "horror" as a film genre was first used in 1934. This movie is actually the second movie in the Universal Classic Monster series (1931 – 1951) which began with Dracula. The last 2 movies were comedies, many fans do not count them as part of the series and treat them as separate films. 1. Dracula (1931) 2. Frankenstein (1931) 3. The Invisible Man (1933) 4. Bride of Frankenstein (1935) 5. Dracula's Daughter (1936) 6. Son of Frankenstein (1939) 7. The Invisible Man Returns (1940) 8. The Invisible Woman (1940) 9. The Wolf Man (1941) 10. The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942) 11. Invisible Agent (1942) 12. Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943) 13. Son of Dracula (1943) 14. The Invisible Man's Revenge (1944) 15. House of Frankenstein (1944) 16. House of Dracula (1945) 17. Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) 18. Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man (1951) A second series of Frankenstein movies began in 1957 and ended in 1974. 1. The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) 2. The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958) 3. The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) 4. Frankenstein Created Woman (1967) 5. Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (1969) 6. The Horror of Frankenstein (1970) 7. Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (1974) My favourite version of Frankenstein is Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (1994) which has a cast of actors that includes John Cleese. If you watch the Evil Dead please watch the entire trilogy. The first movie is a much-loved cult classic. Evil dead II (1987) is often considered to be a remake of The Evil Dead (1981); however, this is not accurate. The beginning of Evil Dead II shows a recap of what happened in the first film but the rights to show scenes from the original could not be obtained to recap what happened, so they had to remake the scenes from the first movie. Evil Dead II is a sequel.

The monster is supposed to to be a pale yellow, but green makeup was used on Boris Karloff. Word got out and now he is forever green. Karloff is the voice of the Narrator/Grinch in the original cartoon. Ironically, the Dr. Seuss book is black line drawings with no color, and Seuss never intended for the Grinch to be green either.
