Aer: That's awful. I'm so sorry y--Wossy? What's wrong? Wossy: Ah'm not cryin'! Ah jus' got some webbin' in ma eye! Snff!! Aer: I didn't say you were crying. Wossy: ...oh. Talk about one heck of an ending. Your emphasis on story in this issue was absolutely the right call to make, as the spider-lady has gone from a fantastical captor to a character just as full of personality as Wossy and Aer themselves. And framing her friendship with Ameline as a story they would've read as kids, excellent choice. Who is that shadowy figure on the last page? A question for later I'm sure, but I'm guessing it has something to do with how Wossy ended up with the "vessel" in question. Speaking of questions, is the spider-lady (can't wait to find out her name!) able to remain in the real world as long as she possesses the contents of the satchel? The whole relationship between her and Ameline is just...wel, I;ve already talked about how impressive it is but its conclusion is perfect. A little bit of happiness mixed in with sad realism, not to mention that ending quote from Ameline (her longest in this story), makes this partiuclar fairy tale unfor-freakin'-gettable. Also, now I'm even more curious about how Wossy and Aeria first met. I know you go over it in the last issue a little, but if it's anywhere near as heartwarming as "The Drider and The Archmage's Daughter" I'd love to see it explored more in future issues.
