heyo peeps! while rick and al are on the three introductory minigmaes , this week i've tried to finish the assets for the mirror maze puzzle.

After andy's reflections and the general background were done all that was left to do was the grid on wich andy will have to move to reach the end of the maze (of course had to animate a bit the entry and exit points.)

the gist of the mirror puzzle is basically that you'll be able to move a square at a time, and with each movement the mirror andy (or andies) will do a specular move ( moving left if andy moves right, but making the same movements vertically) . The objective is of course to reach the exit without touching the mirror andy.

the second screen of the mirror puzzle will feature less squares to move in, and more mirror andies

and it'll all culminate in room three where basically every square is occupied by a andy reflection, so there'll be a bit to move around to clear a path!

after all that, andy will reach a room in the mirror dimension where someone seem to live, or used to. 

so that's where the missing clown of the circus ended up. The guy is just a skeleton and long dead, wich means when he was working in the circus the dude was alive, unlike the rest of the damned in hell. Who would've known a mere mortal would be able to strike so much fear in demons and men alike? man, clowns... 

anyways, i also animated this little room. The clown holds in his dead hands a compact with the power to... well , we're still deciding what power it'll have. It's gonna either be the power to change andy's looks into someone else, or it'll allow andy to teleport through mirrors.

Very interesting. I can’t wait to see what tricks and troubles players will have at their disposal when they go through the mirror mazes. The end point is an interesting idea too - I feel like mirror teleportation would be a more pragmatic power to get, just so you don’t need to make sure any animations Andy has match up with those he can match the appearances of. Plus it means that you can use it as a progression tool for areas Andy can’t quite cross without it. Thanks for this look into the future of the game, and the lore behind it.
