patreon devlog update 33: parting gifts (Patreon)

hey there peeps! we're getting ever so close to completing chapter 2 , at least graphically wise. This week i worked on the animations for one of the final puzzles of the chapter, and a scene from the last bits of andy and zap's memories:

in dab's lair, andy needs a platform to reach one of the components that will open sid's memory vault , that are located up in the rafters of the room. So the solution to this is basically have zap snatch the fizziest gamer fuel sid and dab have at hand and have zap drink the whole bottle and making him super burpy. This will allow him to make a bigger and floatier cherub that andy can stand on so he can reach his target. 

so we decided that the final part of the zap and andy memory section needed one last bit of closure. The scene concludes with the boys walking inside andy's house thinking his dad is baking cookies, but at the last second young zap will stop and look in adult zap's direction. There something missing to complete the memory , and waht is missing is a letter:

it's a letter where young zap confessed his true feelings for his friend and that he was supposed to give andy before he left heaven. Unfortunately due to young zap being too shy he never did give it to him , and andy is still completely oblivious to the fact his friend was (and well, is) totally smitten with him.  who knows, maybe this trip 'll change things around ? X3
