BTW my name meaning, irl, means Dark Son of Wolf, which is pretty cool. I had nothing to do with that. I blame my family. Serpico is indeed a sneaky dude. His helmet is that of a fox. He is also the one who took down Guts, not Farnese. He threw a stick and it hit the arrow in his leg sending Guts to his knees because of the pain finally overtaking him. The encounter with the Holy Iron Chain Knights takes place after the first stories in Black swordsman. It's been two yrs and probably a year since Guts last encounter with the Godhand. So yes, the knights are from the Holy See which is like the Vatican. They would not necessarily know Guts. Do other people know him? Yes, but I'd say that Griffith's fame overtook any other knight in his company. Guts has also built up this reputation as a "Black Swordsman" I'd say that people know him now as that. I love the exchange that Guts has with Farnese in the tent. He is very observant and will call people out on their hypocrisy very fast! He is also pretty unphased by her assault with the cat o nine tails. Farnese on the other hand, is turned on. I only wonder what she would have done to Guts if Azan didn't walk in on them. I'd say, she has her issues. We are indeed entering an arc that looks at religion. I myself am an atheist but I have no issues with those who practice their religion. I do have an issue with hypocrites and people who do awful things in the name of their god though.
