I'd have to rewatch all the performances from season 1, but this is a strong list. The main one I disagree with is the first time they did 'Don't Stop Believing' as an honorable mention. It would be my number 1. However, your number 1 is a good one (I mean, Jonathan Groff, come on). Honestly, I probably would have left your number 2 off, but that's probably because I like cozier, more intimate performances (like the first time they did 'Don't Stop Believing') better than the big numbers. Having said that, my number 2 would probably be 'Don't Rain on my Parade', which is pretty close to where you had. I could go on forever, but I'll leave it there. Loved your ranking!

Love this list...and I love your criteria for picking these performances. I agree with pretty much all these. And kudos to you for picking a top 10...it's so hard. The Regionals performance of Don't Stop Believing is still my favorite of all the versions they've done. I'm still so impressed that Amber sang And I Am Telling You live...6 times while they were taping the episode and all those reactions are genuine from the actors. And thank you for showing the Naya love with the Boy is Mine and Bad Romance. Those two put her on the map vocally.

Lean on Me, so cute 😭 8. Proud Mary, iconic 🤩 7. Dream on.. VOCALS!!! ❤️‍🔥 6. Imagine, chills every time 🥲 5. It’s my life / Confessions, literally the first time i’d ever heard a mashup and my 11 y/o brain went crazy! what a bop 😍 4. Somebody to love, LOOOVE! ❤️‍🔥 3. Keep Holding On, this song just feels like the epitome of glee for me! 🥰 2. Like a Prayer, just a whole bop! 🤩 AND FINALLYYYY Bohemian Rhapsody… bc obvs 😂

Haha your list is so well done. My only change would be that vogue gets replaced with "bust your windows" for my own list... it was the first time I realized that mercedes was fucking phenomenal. We basically agree when it comes to top 10 performance otherwise! Great choices. Haha Oh! and that boy is mine would be changed out for "like a prayer" cause that performance is incredible!!!

My top 10 from season 1, in no particular order, are: Don't Stop Believing (pilot) Don't Rain On My Parade Total Eclipse Of The Heart It's My Life/Confessions Gives You Hell Bohemian Rhapsody Somebody To Love Push It (it cracks me up) Dream On Faithfully So I agree with 4 of yours. But I had a feeling our lists would be very different lol and that's ok. All the songs you picked are great anyway. 😊

There's another Don't stop believing version they did on The X Factor UK, and there will be more. There are also a couple of videos that were part of commercials or adds but not featured on Glee like the Chevy commercial and Fashion week (song by David Bowie). Oh, and several deleted scenes or performances I hope you get to see.

OOoh this was so fun and a very interesting list that I did not expect some of these picks. I like the idea of "extra" show content, would you ever consider reacting to Glee deleted/unreleased songs/scenes? There's some that didn't make the cut that are for sure worth watching/listening!

Your reaction to Vogue was Iconic! I go back and watch that anytime I need a smile! You tricked me with the honourable mentions, I was like “oh, that’s refreshing, Don’t Stop Believing is not on his list” but then, there it was! Did you hear the story about Tina’s (Jenna’s) dress in Theatricality? Anytime she breathed the bubbles on her dress started popping ruining the sound during scenes so she ended up having to hold her breath during every scene. It’s all I think about when I see anything that episode.

They weren’t popping. They ere plastic balls like you can get at the craft store. They kept falling off and whenever Jenna would breathe they would rub together which made a lot of noise. Flo is right about Jenna having to hold her breath during scenes so other actors get their lines out.
