The reason Adam was written off is because the actor was accused of sexual assault. The charges were dropped after a trial, but he was then convicted of two counts of sexual assault in 2017. So yeah, the actor isn't a good person. 🙈 But I did also like Adam so it's a shame he couldn't stick around. And this episode is a fun one, not the best but a very decent filler episode. And from the next episode onwards the season really picks up. So I'm excited to watch more with you soon. 😊

Actually the sexual assault incident was long after Doctor Who. The character of Adam was always supposed to be a short lived character before he was even written or cast. In 2003 RTD had pitched the idea of a "foil" to the BBC, a character who would be expelled from the TARDIS for bad behavior. That's when he started writing Dalek and the Long Game as a 2 story companion run. Bruno Langley was written off of Coronation St in 2017 for the assault (which took place that same year) which was 13 years after this episode was filmed.

Bruno was first accused of sexual assault in 2005, those charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence. RTD said at a comic con that he had planned to bring Adam back in season 2 for another short appearance but Bruno's trial stopped that. He was then charged with sexual assault in 2017 when two more women came forward.

Haha your reaction at the end with the mum ☠️. Also you do a great impression of the Jagrafess noises. I like the tie in to the "fake news" about 15 years before we started to really call it that, but also the immigration/diversity call out too. "why no aliens working here?" "oh it's not like they aren't allowed" which was often the response to why are there no gay people, people of color, disabled people working here? "oh it's not that they aren't allowed it's just....." Great reaction, I can't wait to see the next one.

I liked Adam until he decided to steal Rose's phone to change history and make a lot of money. When you come to the future and decide to change the past for selfish reasons, you must leave. Also, he didn't help at all, and he chose to be stupid and made everything worse.
