"IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE MOONKEEPER AND THE MURDERS HE COMMITTED IN 1997, I CAN’T TALK ABOUT FORENSICS OR MOTIVES OR EVIDENCE; YOU CAN GO TO WIKIPEDIA FOR THAT. WHAT I CAN TELL YOU IS WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE CLOSER TO THE MURDERS THAN ANYONE BUT THE KILLER AND HIS VICTIMS, BECAUSE I LIVED AMONG THEM IN A WAY NO ONE ELSE CAN CLAIM TO."

What were some of those bad things that you saw/experienced back then?? I'm so curious now.

Soren Narnia

Mostly it was just people--strange, aggressive, damaged, or just plain drunk or stoned.... people out on the streets after 2 in the morning on a Tuesday tend not to have such happy reasons to be out there. And there's nothing creepier than a car parked in an odd place late at night, with someone sitting in it alone... every time I saw that, I immediately went the other way. One time I was standing on a small community beach shortly before dawn, enjoying the calm and the view even though it was bitterly cold, when I looked down to notice that 12 inches to my right there was someone in a sleeping bag in the sand. I just happened to be standing right there. His head was sticking out and he was looking up at me with a very weird, hostile, slightly crazy expression, rather Manson-esque. "Okay, wee hours, I think we're done here forever," I thought.

Yep, that'll do it! What did it for me was... years ago I was waiting for my ride after a party at around 1am, when this old homeless-looking man ran up to me out of nowhere, completely butt naked and asked, "Wanna dance, little lady??" Then he just smiled his toothless smile and ran away giggling. It all happened in the course of 10 seconds, but scarred me for life. He seemed to be missing more than a few screws up there, clearly. Feel free to use this in one of your stories. Haha
