Thank you so much to everyone who's supporting me, old and new! I hope to start offering more content very soon.

Here's a headshot commission I finished today of someone's DnD character, a fae-looking dude named Daezumin! This was actually a really tough character to draw, for some reason-- maybe because I don't draw a lot of craggy dudes, or a lot of wide, eyes-open grins? But whatever the case was, every time I flipped the canvas to check on this guy's face*, I noticed a new thing that needed adjusting. But paradoxically, he was also really fun to draw, once I'd gotten past my initial mistakes. The commissioner described him as an enthusiastic, fun dude, and I especially really liked painting his bright orange hair!

*when working digitally, it's a good idea to flip your canvas horizontally now and then-- you can get so used to looking at a character's face from the angle you're drawing it at that you can't see anatomy problems very well, but once you flip the canvas and see the drawing in a fresh way, problems can really jump out at you!

I love this Catie! The orange hair and those butterfly wings that both contrast and somehow fit perfectly with the strapping jacket!

Thank you! 💜 the color scheme and outfit were all the commissioner’s choice— it was a fun challenge to balance the colors and get the orange really looking nice with all the darker blues and purples. I really love complimentary color schemes!
