Mass Effect Illustration -- Citadel Wards Scene (Patreon)

you guys get to see something early after all!! This is an illustration for an upcoming fan-made zine for the Mass Effect video game series. There's a space station called The Citadel that's my favorite location in all of the games, and since the theme for the zine is "slice of life", I wanted to draw a picture set in one of the Citadel Wards that was full of the bustling energy of ordinary alien civilians living their lives. The specific part of the Citadel this picture was inspired by is a market area found in the Citadel DLC, but when the player character is running through it, it isn't full of busy shoppers-- it's full of bullets, and people trying to kill you with them. Unfortunate.

The pics in this post are the final illustration, the inks by themselves, and my favorite detail: an elcor partying it up on the second level.
