Thanks for the episode team, the thumbnail looks kind of epic to me. Hopefully the workload crunch will get slightly better after the big events at Kursk and Sicily of the last few weeks.

For the graphics depicting Italaian/American casualties, I think Indy mentioned 2900 casualties but the graphics show 29k, I assume the graphic was the typo?

Now that the Pacific will be picking up steam with the island hopping campaign, would you consider doing a special on the USMC? It is the world's largest Marine force, after all.

Worthy suggestion but before that I'd like to see Liberty and Victory Ships, George C. Marshall, Ernest J. King, the Bofors AA gun and the proximity fuse.

Has this part of the war recorded in Senshii Sosho (the official Japanese war history) been translated? That is an excellent primary source but only two volumes have been translated AFAIK, The campaign in PNG and The Dutch East Indies

Who are those troops at 6:44? Their uniforms, arms, and helmets look prewar. Are they Axis partners or German soldiers?

I think they might be Hungarians. Definitely not German army.
