One profound thing about working on this series is that each and every week we read your direct messages, comments, and emails to us where many of you share stories of your own or your loved one's encounters with crimes against humanity. From tales of partisan resistance, holocaust survival, or prisoner of war suffering, every time one of these episodes comes out your stories remind all of us that these acts of terror are still in living memory. The reason we choose to make these videos on YouTube is partly because the public nature of it means that everyone can contribute in order to tell the very personal tales of suffering that unfolded and make sure that we never forget.
