With what?

Well, long story (fairly) short:

The way YouTube operates nowadays, not even our subscribers get all of the videos we make recommended to them by YouTube. We need to perform better, according to YouTube, to be "rewarded" with being recommended more to people.
We need our videos to be watched to survive. And for our videos to be watched, people first of all need to be shown that they exist.

Now, the only two things YouTube cares about performance wise are "view time" and "click rates". View time (quite obviously) means for how long people watch a video after clicking on it, and our view time is above average on all videos.
But - people also have to feel curious or interested enough to actually click on a video in order to watch it. That's what click rates are: the percentage of people who click on our videos when they come across them. This is where we perform poorly, below average.

So, we need to increase our click-friendliness, and that means making our thumbnail pictures and video titles more attractive to people. This isn't us wanting to create cheap "clickbait", it's us wanting to get our videos the reach and attention they deserve. And more importantly, we have to in order to survive.
This is where you - our trusted TimeGhost Army members - come in.
Because we need to learn what people find intriguing enough to do that click, and we want to pick your brains and hear your opinions on just that.

Below you have three options for the title of the War Against Humanity 041 episode we just posted here. We'd like for you to have a look at them and try to honestly assess which one you believe is most "click-friendly".
Which one would spark your interest enough to click on the video, especially if you weren't already following WW2 Weekly or War Against Humanity.
If you want to, you're also very welcome to tell us in the comments why or why not any of these titles would make you click the video.

We value your input on this greatly, Thank You!

For those of you who want to learn more about all of this, here is a really interesting and eye-opening video on the subject called Clickbait is Unreasonably Effective

The word Hitler which is one of the most famous and iconic names in the human history will always cause interest and curiosity among those interested in watching WW2 and history clips. So the title Hitler Calls for Counter- Insurgency- Who Will Resist? Will perhaps attract more attention among the clickbaiters.

As a seasoned youtube watcher I have developed a massiv distaste for obvious clickbait titles. And this hurts my trust in the scientific/ historic content of the video as a whole. As a matter of respect I would wish that the titles of the "war on humity" episodes stay as somber and accurate as possible.

I'm certain that H-title would be automatically defunded and/or punished by Youtube algorithm. I'm afraid that dying civilians might do the same, but I still voted it.

"A good War film is antiwar" - Stanley Kubrick, Oliver Stone. Brian De Palmer, Frances Coppola, Sergio Leone, Michael Cimino. The best show the human side rather than what tank, plane, weapon.... was used, or what maneuver/tactic was used. There's too many vids on that side and not enough on the psychology, sociology and economics of war. Who benifits and who dosen't. The big WHY!

I had to pick the longest title because it contains multiple interesting parts. Hitler himself making a call for counter-insurgency? Well WHO does? I must know! As for the others, the french one is fine and would be the one I'd pick if youtube has problems about having Adolf in the title but as for the last one, it's kind of obvious. We're talking about the series "War Against Humanity" so saying that people will die is kind of, well, implied in the title already.

I voted for "Why don't the French resist?" It adds the curiosity effect. instead of another Fuhrer order.

Unfortunately, as nowadays people want quick answers to their questions, "why don't the French resist" is the best title, because is direct and effective.

Stalingrad title is obvs most shocking and attention grabbing. The Hitler title is already spoiled by those who have already looked into the future🙃 and so lacks punch or want of knowledge

I voted for "Why don't the French resist?" The down side is it may not generate many clicks from many Francophiles.

I would keep the war against humanity videos as they are, the information in them is horrific and it needs the respect of not being click bait.

I like all the channels. Informative and truthful.

Just put a picture of a nearly unclad girl on the thumbnail. Even if it's an old 40's style picture, pervert guys will click on it. Some of them might find the material interesting and start watching, but your click bait numbers will look better.
