Now, I'm not telling you to add rum to your protein smoothies.......BUT! Lol, jk!

But this smoothie is extremely refreshing on a hot day! After a hard workout, throw this in the blender and pretend you're at the beach!

can coconut extract be used instead of syrup?

Anonymous

This looks wonderful!!!

Is this why all the rum is gone? 🤣

Anonymous

I know skinny mixes online has a sf coconut syrup for 7.99 is it cheaper at store?

zachcoen

I think the one I used was Torani (found in the coffee aisle). But you can also use coconut extract 👍

Cindy

If you can’t find the coconut syrup, how much of the extract do you use?

Anonymous

Thanks, Cindy I’d add a little at a time so you can flavor yo your liking. I’m thinking of adding some to the water before it freezes

This is delicious! I used the Coffeemate Coconut Creamer.

Anonymous

I don’t like it in my coffee but use it in other things. Italian Cream for me. 😊

Can you batch prep these and then keep them in the fridge?

zachcoen

I have not personally tried that so I'm not sure how they'd turn out consistency wise the next day.

Cindy

My calorie count is WAY off. I ended up with 553 calories for this shake. I’m doing something wrong. Anyone gave any ideas? Here’s what I have: Fairlife milk 1/2 cup = 61 cal Coconut extract = 2 cal Vanilla protein powder (muscle milk) =150 Chobani FF yogurt (3/4 c) = 140 cal Pineapple chunks (1 1/4c) = 200 cal

Anonymous

The pineapple chunks should be around 100 calories. It’s 80-82 calories per cup of frozen pineapple (make sure there’s no added sugar) The fat free fairlife milk is also 40 calories per 1/2 cup. Mine looks like this - 1/2c Fairlife FF Milk - 40 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder - 100-150 depending on the brand 3/4c Chobani FF Vanilla Greek Yogurt - 110 (you could probably use Dannon light & fit yogurt to make it 80 calories instead) 1 1/4c Pineapple Chunks - 100 Total = 320-400

Cindy

Brittany- thank you so much for taking the time to do this! I LOVE this shake and after I drank it, the calories that I came up with made me not wanna drink it. So I REALLY appreciate you taking so much time out out to do this for me!😁. My fitness pal is not so accurate..

zachcoen

1/2 cup of Fat Free Fairlife milk is only 40 calories. That's what I used. I also used a lower calorie protein powder (Legion). It was only 100-110 calories I believe. The Greek yogurt I used was also much lower in calories. Only 90 calories for 3/4 cup.

Cindy

Thank you!! I’ll start using a different Greek yogurt. Was that Great Value?. 😀

This was amazing!!

Today I was already putting in ingredients when I realized I was short on pineapple. I had some ripe bananas that needed to be used. The banana pairs well with the pineapple and coconut flavors in a pinch.
