⚙️🔧🐉 Imagine, as you stroll through the bustling streets of a technologically advanced city, a sight most bewildering graces your eyes. A wanderer, shrouded in an aura of mechanical marvel and adventurous spirit, parades into view atop a miniature, yet undeniably majestic, mechanical dragon. Its scales, a masterpiece of metallic engineering, shift and shimmer with every graceful, calculated move, each step a symphony of whispering gears and hissing steam.

Your gaze shifts to the wanderer, encased in a suit of splendidly crafted plate armor. Every piece, every plate, a harmonious blend of function and form, of might and elegance. Pistons gently hiss, gears softly whir, creating a gentle melody that whispers tales of distant lands and daring adventures.

And then, the visage – a helmet, masterfully wrought in the likeness of a mechanical dragon, its eyes ablaze with a concealed, yet palpable power. The wanderer’s own eyes are hidden, yet you sense a gaze that pierces horizons, that sees through the veils of mysteries yet unsolved.

You stand there, amidst the crowd, yet somehow isolated, enraptured by this fusion of adventurer and artifice, of warrior and machine ⚙️🔧🐉

Mechalot Dragon

Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a creature with proficiency in tinkerer's tools)

Mechalot is a tiny mechanical dragon crafted with precision and mechanical mastery. With a specialized concoction of steam and oil, it can transform into a large, mountable mechanical dragon.

When attuned and active, Mechalot rolls its own initiative and can take the Move action during its turn. If not being directly controlled by the user, Mechalot will either stay near the attuned user or attempt to complete a short, simple command given by the user (such as "fetch" or "stay"). If it cannot complete the command on its turn, Mechalot will return to the side of the attuned user. When not attuned to a creature, Mechalot is dormant and inactive in its tiny size. After which, Mechalot returns to its tiny size and cannot be transformed again until after a long rest.

Breath of Oil. As an action, the attuned creature can utilize tinkerer's tools to activate Mechalot's oil dispersal system, causing it to unleash a stream of slick, flammable oil. When in tiny size, Mechalot releases the oil in a 15-foot cone; when large, it releases it in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15) or be covered in oil. If a creature covered in oil takes any fire damage before the oil dries (after 1 minute), the oil ignites, dealing an additional 8d6 fire damage to the creature and igniting it for 1 minute. While ignited, it takes 4d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. A creature can end this effect by using its action to extinguish the flames, or another creature can extinguish the flames by using an action to assist. This property consumes 1 pint of oil when used.

Oil Storage and Usage. Mechalot has an intricately designed internal storage that can carry up to 10 pints of oil without impeding its ability to fly. This storage is magically adapted to Mechalot’s size.

Transformation. As an action, by utilizing a unique blend of steam and oil, poured carefully into Mechalot’s mechanical core, it enlarges from tiny to large size. This transformation lasts for 1 hour.

Tinkerlot Armor

Armor (plate), uncommon (requires attunement by a creature with proficiency in tinkerer's tools)

The Tinkerlot Armor is an exquisite piece of artifice, crafted from a combination of various metals and imbued with magic for durability and adaptability. The armor is composed of numerous interlocking plates, gears, and pistons, providing excellent protection.

The armor has a small compartment suitable to hold a set of tinkerer's tools (included with the armor). You always have these tools on hand when attuned to and wearing the armor.

Energy Diffusion. When you take lightning or thunder damage, you can use your reaction to activate the armor’s energy diffusion mechanism. It absorbs the energy, reducing the damage by 1d10. Once you use this property, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Mechanical Synergy. When mounted on a mechanical mount, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls.

Tinkerlot Visage

Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement to the Mechalot Dragon)

The Tinkerlot Visage is a masterfully crafted helmet, designed to resemble the face of a mechanical dragon. Made of polished metal with intricate engravings, it fully encases the wearer's head. The visage contains numerous gears, lenses, and mechanisms that augment the wearer's senses and interface with other Tinkerlot equipment.

While wearing the Tinkerlot Visage, you can use an action to switch your vision between your own and Mechalot's optical systems. When viewing through Mechalot's eyes, you gain darkvision up to a range of 120 feet. If you already have darkvision, viewing through the visage increases its range by 60 feet.

Enhanced Auditory Systems. The helmet filters and amplifies sound, granting you advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing.

Voice Modulation. The visage can alter the wearer's voice, allowing you to mimic sounds or voices you have heard, or to speak in a modulated, mechanical tone. This gives you advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks when trying to imitate someone's voice.

Unified Mechanism. Your bond with the Tinkerlot set becomes profound. Once per long rest, as an action, you can summon Mechalot to your side, regardless of the distance between you, as long as you're on the same plane of existence. Furthermore, when issuing a command to Mechalot through the Tinkerlot Visage, Mechalot will attempt to complete your command for up to 10 minutes before defaulting back to its basic behavior of staying near the attuned user.

2 Set Bonus

Your profound understanding and synergy with the Tinkerlot items enhance their functionality. When you make a skill check that uses your proficiency with tinkerer’s tools, you gain a +2 bonus to the check. Additionally, the efficient usage of oil within the Tinkerlot set allows any oil consumption to be halved while achieving the same effects as if using the full amount.

3 Set Bonus

When attuned and mounted on Mechalot, you cannot be involuntarily dismounted unless you are incapacitated or Mechalot is destroyed. Additionally, by utilizing a bonus action to release an extra pint of oil from Mechalot's oil storage, its flying speed increases to 120 feet for 1 minute. Furthermore, when you take the Dodge action, Mechalot benefits from the Dodge action until the start of your next turn.
