TRS - Casefile #0090

EDWARD: Diableret asks: Hi Riddler - As a man with tattoos (or at least I'm led to believe you have many), what are you views on body art on women? And, Diableret asks: How many tattoos do you have?

(sighs) Your informants have led you wrong, Diableret. Clearly you've been listening to old rumour. I do not, as it happens, have tattoos. Oh I did once, for a brief period a long time ago, one of the hazards of this profession is that your life goes through the occasional shakeup, or in my case, bout of insanity. When you've nearly died more than twenty five times by your mid-thirties, the midlife crises start coming on earlier. And between that and a concussion or two, I had the urge to remake my life in a few drastic ways. Fortunately I came to my senses before I permanently damaged my reputation. What do I think of tattoos on women? I think it's really not my business. I do know that body modification can be a bad idea in the crime game, since it can make you easier to identify. But given that the women in my life mostly do whatever they like, I see no point in pushing the issue with them. They're free to do what they want with their bodies, just as I'm free to consider whatever they do incredibly stupid. That's really what being a mature individual is all about.
