The Adventurer's Town has been Enriched!

Leaving the dwarves to their own devices, I ask Bell and Rango about town planning.

"Since the newly built Inn is like that, do you think it would be okay if I build the stores the same way?"

Bell and Rango nodded their heads in delight.

"Are you sure you want me to do this, though?"

"We don't have any carpenters yet, so if Van-sama can build it for us, that would be a big help!"

Laughing back at their words, I check the available space on the street.

"Well, I'll make it three stories with a basement, right? I want it to look and feel uniform with the inn over there."

As he informed Bell of this, he looked back at Xsara's inn with wide eyes. After staring at the inn with his eyes like saucers for a while, he turned his head toward me with movements like a robot that has run out of oil.

"...It's a merchant's dream to have a store this big, but how many platinum coins for one building..."

I waved one hand from side to side saying no, no to Bell who said this in an anxious voice.

"Fifty gold coins!"

"Fifty gold coins? Really? If that's the case, we would like you to build this building in Seat Village as well..."

"Impossible, impossible. I can't do that. Get some carpenters and build more and more buildings. We need to create jobs and get the economy going."

When I responded, Bell's shoulders slumped.

"Oh, and the cityscape is important, too. Make sure it looks similar to the buildings I've built so far. Colors are also important."

"Well, that may be quite difficult..."

I felt a little sorry for Bell as he racked his brains, but it couldn't be helped if he was thinking about the future. It is imperative that we nurture a variety of craftsmen.

Otherwise, the day will never come when my chores will cease.

"And, for now, the Bellrango Chamber of Commerce would like a place that is most accessible to new customers."

"Well, the first one looking at the entrance would be good? One building is fine?"

"Three buildings, please..."

"Wait, make it four, please!"

As Rango was replying, Bell came in with a frantic look on his face and Rango nodded his head confused.

"Trading materials, daily necessities, weapons and armor...I thought you said three buildings were enough?"

Rango asked, and Bell shook his head vigorously from side to side.

"That was our original plan, but this may be our last chance to get Van-sama to build us a building. As far as materials go, we don't care about how much we can afford, so let's get it built."

Rango's expression tightened as Bell said so.

"I see. Then surely four buildings would be better... okay! I'll go recruit new merchant apprentices as soon as I can!"

And with that, Rango ran off to the Seat Village.

Bell followed his back with his eyes and let out a quiet sigh.

"Just when I thought things were finally calming down...you haven't even told me what the building is made of yet."

"Well, I guess he thought that since Bell was there, he'd be fine about the building, didn't he?"

"I wonder if he's really thinking that far ahead."

We laughed at each other and I checked the street.

"If you have enough materials, I'll make it right away."

"I'll get it ready soon, Van-sama's time is becoming increasingly scarce."

"You make it sound like I'm mean."

"...Hey! Bring me as many wood blocks as you can!"

I had no choice but to ignore his protests, and Bell went on his way to his men. He has good instincts, I must say.

While the Bellrango Chamber of Commerce was setting up, I quickly talked to the people Camsin and his team had brought with them. I interviewed them to find out what kind of business they wanted to do.

"I've been making furniture, and if I could, I'd like to work with wood to make bigger things."

"I worked in a clothing store. I want to make cute clothes that I would want to wear."

"I like baking...I don't have much variety yet, but I'll do my best!"

After listening to the ten different future prospects of each person, I set roles for each of them on my own. A worker who is good at making things and a salesperson who is good at serving customers. There are also logistics workers who are good at inventory control and procurement.

The atmosphere is interesting, like a cultural festival. Well, I hope they will enjoy doing business, although it will become more and more realistic as they actually get into the business.

With these hopes in mind, I discussed the building with everyone as we built it.

Many people wanted to open restaurants, so I decided to make the first floor a bakery and a sweets store, and the second floor a cafeteria. The third floor would be a warehouse for storing things that could be stored for a long time, and the basement would be a warehouse for alcohol and foodstuffs.

The second building is a furniture store, a clothing store, and a daily goods store. Because they all handle bulky goods, half of the floors are designed as warehouses. The basement is a workshop for making products.

"If you do your best to make cool, interesting, and delicious products, I'll come visit you, okay?"

When I said this with high expectations, they all responded with motivation. It is good to hear that they are having fun.

Now all that was left was to make the public bathhouse, which I, personally, wanted to put the most effort into. Now, let's make a public bathhouse that the adventurers will enjoy.
