Magic Warrior Chapter 83 (Patreon)

Sanctuary of the Fire God
Rilfana and I walked toward the mountain to see if we might be invited to join them.
We see the entrance to a cave, a little far away, lit by glowing torches.
"It's that way, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is... Mina-sama, you seem very calm, don't you?"
"This is the third time, and I've gotten used to it since I felt some kind of omen."
"Signs?"
Rilfana also saw the stone statues, but did not seem to notice the sensation of being watched.
"It had the same shape as the one in the church, didn't it?"
"So it was a statue of a god."
It is not often that I see a statue of a god. The only time I had seen one was when I went to a church in town, so I couldn't remember what it was.
Rilfana said she went to pray when she was free, so she must have seen it recently and remembered it.
While walking and talking with Rilfana, we arrived at the entrance of the cave.
Inside the cave was a room. The walls were brightly lit by a number of torches.
"It's been a long time since I've had a visitor."
An elderly dwarf was sitting in a chair drinking barley ale. He is wearing red metal armor and has a blunt mace slung around his waist.
"You are Calfabro-sama, God of Fire?"
"You are diligent to know my name."
"You are also worshiped as the god of war."
"Hoho, I used to be a bit of a rascal in my day, you know. Sit down."
Rilfana seemed to know a lot about gods. I wondered how long ago the gods had been around.
After we sat down, he poured a glass of sake and said, "This is for you, girls".
The color was like red wine, but with a sweet aroma. The first sip tasted like sweet juice, with no hint of alcohol.
I was surrounded by bright lights and dark lights; Rilfana was bright lights and yellowish-green lights.
It's a phenomenon that was also present at the last Dark God handsome guy, and it's like a check to see if I've met any other gods.
"It's sweet and easy to drink!"
"It's like juice."
"Yes, it is, isn't it? It's just not strong enough for me."
He strokes his beard with a grin as he gulps down the barley ale.
"I'll have some of this to go with it."
Calfabro-sama offers several small plates. Edamame and peanuts were served.
"And how about this one, it's an easy-to-drink honey wine."
He placed a small glass of honey wine on the table. The golden liquid was beautiful.
I took a sip and found that the alcohol content was also low, making it easy to drink. A fluffy red light danced in the air.
"Well, is there anything you want to know?"
"I would like to know why the memories of my original world are treated differently between me and Rilfana."
"Well, she is a reincarnated person, isn't she? That's rare these days, I suppose."
This would be a question I would have to ask God. I was a little curious, so I asked the question.
He looked at me and Rilfana.
"Hmmm. It appears that you came here too early before."
Rilfana was 12 years old when she was reincarnated, and perhaps because she was still underdeveloped, her brain did not have enough capacity to hold the memories of Earth. Therefore, her original memories were compressed and forcibly crammed into her body.
Apparently, on the other hand, if she had been reincarnated as an infant, it would not be a problem to store her memories because the number of memories already stored in her body would be small.
Also, unless there are special circumstances, they enter the body immediately after death.
The soul is away from the body, so it seems there is no need to worry about the original body's owner. Of course, the people around them are unaware of this, so if they are concerned about the original connection, they need to behave accordingly.
"From what I've seen, it doesn't seem that your memory is corrupted. They will gradually return after a short time in adulthood."
"I'm already an adult..."
"Oh, I see. It's difficult to tell how old a person's child is. Oh, well..."
I was relieved that it didn't seem to matter if I left him alone for now.
"If anything, you're the one who's confused."
Calfabro-sama turned around.
"Me?"
"Well, your memory is a bit jumbled."
Tellnet-sama and the handsome Stellatio-sama modified it, didn't they?
Calfabro-sama put his hand on my head. The strange warmth brought back memories of meeting Mina.
"--This is the ancient civilization of Virtuari.... If you meet her, be good friends with Rilfana."
"Rilfana?"
"Why would the original Mina know Rilfana? It could be another person with the same name..."
"Has Rilfana met me before?"
"No, I think the first time was in front of the town of Gardia."
"You are a nobleman from a neighboring country, you weren't born in Sergeplant, right?"
"Yes, I have heard that I was born on the island of Radis."
Even though we are close in age, it is highly unlikely that we met before my father left me in his care. If they did meet, it would be if they were born in the same place, but that also seems unlikely.
"Don't be in a hurry, you'll know when the time comes."
Unlike before, Calfabro-sama looked at me with serious eyes.
"Well, is there anything you can tell me about your little girl?"
"Yes, I do. I'd like to do some private blacksmithing."
It seems like a snobbish question to ask a god.
"I remember that you are a reincarnated person, and unlike 300 years ago, you must feel quite inconvenienced. If I had the tools I used when I descended, I would have some freedom."
I heard that he had left his tools in the small room he used in the lower world.
He said he left them there because he had some spare ones, and it was not worth the trouble to go and get them. He described the room's features.
"It looks a lot like the room we came here in."
"I thought that room was guarded by a turret."
Is this about Ultra Canon?
"I'm sorry. I broke it..."
"Oh, my! You did it. But the way to get into that room must have been lost in an epidemic about 150 years ago. How did you find it?"
Calfabro-sama laughed, not in anger, but in amusement, and posed the question.
"Well, Calfabro-sama, or rather, the gods, do you know that this world of Virtuari is similar to the world of the games we used to play?"
"Of course I know, it's called SeveChro or something like that. I met a reincarnated person who told me that it really is just like it."
It appears that God also knows.
"This is not the same world as the game. But the resemblance is not a mistake, either. Well, you should keep in mind that the girls aren't evil, and they aren't the same."
He didn't seem to give me any details. After all, he didn't like the idea of having a game in a world similar to the one he was managing.
"With that knowledge, I knew about the existence of the hidden room."
"I see. I didn't realize that the game recreated it that well..."
Calfabro-sama nodded in understanding. I wonder if the recreation means that the game world was a recreation of this place.
"About the blacksmithing, you can take everything in that room with you. Besides, it would be a pity to leave him sleeping in that room all the time."
This time, he put his hands on my and Rilfana's heads. Then the knowledge of how to use the smithing tools and ore in general naturally entered my mind.
"Now you should be able to use those tools. To put it in the style of the ladies, you've 'acquired blacksmithing skills'."
"Thank you!"
"I only gave you the basic knowledge and skills. It's up to you to polish it up."
I think I can use common metals such as copper, iron, and silver, as well as spirit silver mithril. I feel that it is difficult to handle materials beyond that. And I'd have to get the materials in the first place, though.
"Well, now it's our turn to listen!"
Calfabro-sama put the sake cup and the cup of sake in front of him with a thud, and offered us the first sake.
Calfabro-sama put a cup of sake in front of him and poured us our first drink.
It appears that God likes to hear what people have to say.
If we could meet him, he would grant us our wishes, and it would be natural that he would be worshiped.
"Mina-sama broke it with a pickaxe. It's not elegant at all!"
"Oh, my! But it looks like it was built so sturdy that it can't be broken so easily.... Hmmm."
Rilfana was blabbering on about how easy it was to have Rilfana there to talk.
"Oops, I guess it's time to go."
"Oh, that's too bad."
"You're a master. I hope to hear from you again."
With Calfabro-sama's words, I was back in the room I had just left.
I looked at Clare and saw that her eyes were shining, as if time had stopped as well.
"Sis, Rilfana-chan, I met God again!"
I had thought she was staying at home this time because she looks like a statue of the Calfabro-sama god, but was Clare also called by some god?
"Stellatio-sama, that was cool!"
That middle-aged handsome guy, huh? He's cool from the point of view of people over here...
"Watashi and Mina-sama were Calfabro-sama!"
"Rilfana-chan and her friends were together. That's nice."
"This was Calfabro-sama's room. They told me I could take my tools with me, so I should go and collect them."
I collected all the tools and documents that were left behind.
I'll check the details later, and I'll also collect the solge moss and dark grass at the top of the stairs before leaving the mine.
When I get back, I'll finish reporting the request and confirm how to do the blacksmithing. But first, I need to find a place to stay.
