Chapter 12

The class was made up of mostly women with several men in attendance.  Virtually all were college age, as well as a couple of women who were in their thirties and forties.  Jerry appeared to be the oldest person in the class, when in fact, he was the youngest.

The professor, a distinguished man in his late sixties called out the attendance.   Jerry said 'Here' when he heard Crystal's name called.

Jerry was just as involved with the class as he was online.  He raised his hand often and give his opinions frequently.  Jerry had never remembered being so involved in a class in his previous school career.

Jerry knew where his purse was at all times.  He couldn't smoke in class, and he didn't want to excuse himself just to get a smoke.  But he did freshen his lipstick many times.  He crossed and uncrossed his legs to cross them the other way several times.  The morning session was going to be three hours.

At the lunch break, the professor sought Jerry out.  Jerry had quickly left the school to have a smoke.  He was desperate.

"You have a keen insight into the history of fashion, Ms. Hren," he told Jerry.

"Thank you.  I am enjoying your class very much."

"If you would like, we can discuss further your point regarding that the eighties fashions are back in force today.  Especially such things as 'Power Dressing'."

Jerry could sense that the professor wanted something more than just to talk about fashion.  Jerry was here to take a course only.  He didn't want to establish a relationship with the professor.  Jerry's eyes darted and saw a small group of students pass by.

"I'm sorry Professor Marcus, but I have plans to have lunch with my classmates," Jerry lied.

He turned to the passing students and pleaded with them with his eyes.  "Where are we having lunch again?  So I can catch up to you after I talk to the professor?"

The women knew what was happening in an instant.  They bailed Jerry out of his situation by telling him the small cafe they were eating at.

"Thank you," Jerry said and meant it.  He didn't want to turn down the professor without a plausible reason.

Jerry excused himself the fastest he could and met up with the girls at the appointed restaurant.

"You girls are a lifesaver," Jerry told them.

Jerry sat at the table in the cafe with three very pretty women in their twenties.  If they saw him in his usual apparel, he wouldn't stand a chance with them.  He was only 19 and they were at least five years older than he was.  They were all well dressed.  Despite the girl's obvious charms, boobs, legs, butt, what have you, Jerry never once leered at any of the girls.

When he did look at their bodies, he did so to assess their outfits.  He thought they were very stylish and told them.

"Why didn't you want to spend time with Professor Marcus?"

"I could tell he liked me."

"So? He seems nice, don't you think so?"

"Yeah."

"Are you married?"

"No."

"Have a boyfriend?"

"No."

"Are you gay?"

"No."

"Don't you think he is funny?"

"Yeah, he is?"

After a bunch of other questions, the girls couldn't decide why Jerry wouldn't want to have lunch with him.  Jerry couldn't tell them why.  But the girls did have some points.  Professor Marcus was an interesting person and very entertaining.  He wasn't bad-looking for his age either.

"OK, maybe you're right.  Maybe next time."

At the table, Jerry was the elder statesman, er. stateswoman.  The girls looked up to him.  She was active in class and was fun to be around, in a platonic sense.

After lunch, they returned to the lecture and finished the lesson.

Chapter 13

At Crystal's house, she asked "How did it go?"

"I had a fantastic time.  I learned so much.  Everything was as good as could be.  That is except one thing."

"What was that?"

Jerry told Crystal about the incident with the professor and lunch.

"You didn't take him up on his offer?  Why not?"

"Isn't it obvious?"

"Not to me."

"He liked me."

"So what.  It was just lunch.  I think you would have had a fun time with him."

"But he thinks I'm a woman."

"Everyone thinks that."

"But he is a man.  He likes me."

"So what?  I think you should have gone with him.  He wasn't going to take you to a hotel in the middle of the day."

"I know that.  It just didn't seem right."

"It's fine.  You should have gone."

"That is what the girl's said."

"What girls?"

"The girls I had lunch with."

"I agree with them."

"But, I'm a guy.  There isn't any future with us.  What happens when the class is over.  He might still might want to go out.  I'll be back to a man by then."

"You are making too much of this.  It's just lunch.  You obviously like his company.  Talk about class and fashion.  It'll be another learning experience."

"He does know a lot.  I am sure there are things, his personal opinions that he is holding back."

"See you'll find out all the inside stuff."

The next morning, after sleeping with the music placing as he always did at Crystal's house, Jerry decided that Crystal and the girls were right.  He should take Professor Marcus on his offer.  It would be a lot of fun to have lunch with him.  He is interesting and funny.  When it was time for lunch this time, Jerry would seek Professor Marcus out and ask him to escort him to lunch.

"Hurry up, or you'll be late," Crystal called out.

Jerry was dressing up a bit.  He was going to go to the class dressed a little less professionally.  His makeup was also more attractive.  His face wasn't fully made up, but it wasn't as casual as it was before. He wanted Professor Marcus to realize that Jerry was indeed interested in him despite what happened the day before.  Jerry acted foolishly before and he wanted to make amends today.

"I know, I just want to look just right today."

"Don't take too long, you don't want to be late."

"No, definitely, I don't want to be late."

"Hey what's up?"

"I just want to look my best?"

"Why?"

"I think you were right.  I'm going to see if I can have lunch with Professor Marcus today."

"I'm sure you'll learn a lot from him."

Jerry wasn't thinking of what they were going to talk about.  He just thought that Professor Marcus was an interesting and funny man.  He wanted to spend some time with him.  Jerry hoped that he hadn't offended him the day before with his foolish behavior.  Jerry also realized that Crystal was right about something else.  Just because the class would end that didn't mean that he had to stop seeing Professor Marcus.  He could dress as Crystal even after the class was over.

Great job on these two chapters! I love the slow buildup as Jerry falls more and more into his role. Keep up the great work!
