Chapter 10

When they were out of earshot of Jessica. Jerry said excitedly, "I think it went great!"

"I don't think it could have gone any better.  Your mother had no idea.  I even heard the end of your conversation with her.  Telling your mother she needs a new bra, that was fantastic."

"Well, she does need one."

"You were right about that.  How did it feel to tell her?"

"It was a hoot!  I was going to tell her about her makeup too.  At least I was thinking about it.  I hate her earrings, it doesn't go do a thing to frame her face right or draw away from her nose.  It's really too big for her face you know."

"Hey calm down.  Let's go home and prepare for your class tomorrow."

"What is there to do?"

"Not too much, we have to make you look more like me, not my 'cousin.'  Plus you have to have a more professional look at college.

The changes were minor: Jerry swapped out his wig for the one that Crystal usually wore.  He also put on her round glasses instead of the oval glasses he was now wearing.  He took off his dress and replaced it with a business suit.  He was also made to appear a little heavier in the hips and stomach.  They posed in front of the mirror.  They didn't look like cousins anymore, they looked more like identical twins.  Now exactly the same when they were both together, but they could be mistaken for each other when they were apart.

Out of the blue, Crystal asked, "How did you like the car?"

"What car?"

"You know."

"I liked it.  It was very nice.  I wished I owned a car.  It'll take quite some time before I'll own my own car."

"I liked it too.  I think I'll buy it."

"The Avalon?"

"Yeah, I've been thinking about buying a new car for some time.  I think I'll get that one."

Jerry and Crystal looked over the brochure.  They decided that they preferred the ruby flare pearl color with the tan and black faux leather interior and all the amenities.

"I'll see Jessica while you're at college and order one.  She should get a nice commission from the sale."

Jerry was a little jealous.  He wished he could buy a new car.  What nineteen-year-old didn't want one.

Chapter 11

Jerry hardly slept through the night.  It wasn't the car that was keeping him up, it was that he was going to attend in-person learning the next day.  He stayed in bed as long as he could stand then got out to prepare for his day at college.

Jerry already knew what he was going to wear.  As usual, it started with his lingerie basics that would give him the proper feminine shape.  The clothes he would be wearing for his first day of school would be functional, stylish, in general, and represent his own personal style in particular.  He considered everything including all his jewelry and accessories.

He wanted his makeup to be flawless.  He didn't think it was right to fully make up his face, but he definitely used more cosmetics than when he was learning remotely.

He had conditioned himself over the days to move in a feminine manner without having to think about what he was doing.  His arms were always bent at the elbows.  Unless he was carrying something, like his purse, his hands always hung limply.  He took short graceful steps when he walked.  He exhibited good posture and smiled prettily when he spoke or was looked at.  Invariably, he would sit with his legs crossed at the knee.

"Are you ready?  Because we can cancel the whole thing if you like."

"I'm more than ready.  I've been looking forward to this for days."

"I can see that, but I thought I would ask anyway."  Crystal said with a broad smile.  She liked kidding Jerry on his big day.

Crystal could have driven Jerry to class, but she thought it would be best if he took the bus.  So he would be with people before getting to class.

Jerry waited at the bus stop with all the rest of the passengers.  He didn't talk to anyone.  He was a few feet away.  He wanted to smoke before the bus arrived.  He entered the bus, found his metro-bus card in his purse, and used it to pay for his fair.  He returned it to his purse and found a seat then crossed his legs.  He laid his purse on his lap.  He looked out the window all the way to his stop.

He was so excited when he got off the bus, that even though his steps were small, his pace was fast.  He couldn't help himself.  He wanted to get there quickly.

He arrived at the classroom early and took a seat near the front of the class.  He thought about leaving again to have another cigarette.  After a minute, he did so.  He exited the building and walked a discrete distance from the entrance.  He lit another cigarette and tried to relax.  When his smoke was done, he freshened his makeup as necessary and returned to the classroom and his seat.  He couldn't help but smile.  He was finally going to attend a real class in person.
